Steven Shell, age 51, of Alexandria, KY., died Friday, March 26, 2010, at his residence. Henry Phillip Long, age 85, of Alexandria, Ky., formerly of South Shore, KY died Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He Served in the Army during World War II. He was a former Maintenance Man for a church camp ground and school bus driver in Central Ohio. Carlos Cummins Sr.

Carlos Cummins, Sr., 88, of Florence died Wednesday, March 10 at Bridgepoint in Florence.

He worked for Queen City Chevrolet in Cincinnati.

His wife, Viola Mae Cummins, sons, Albert Cummins, Carlos Cummins Jr. and Charles Miller, and daughter, Judy Black, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters, Penny Marcum of Covington and Shirley Catherine Claypool of Augusta; a son, Mark Cummins of Kentucky; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Service will be at noon Monday, March 15 at the Alexandria Funeral Home in Alexandria. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Monday, March 15. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Carthage.

Ambrose Henry Sandfoss, age 83, of Alexandria, Ky., died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood in. He was a retired Autobody Repairman member of VFW Post 3205, Alexandria,KY and he loved to work in his yard. He Served in the Army during World War II.

Mitchell Orth


Mitchell David Orth, age 25, of Alexandria, Ky., died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood in Edgewood, Ky.

Mitch was employed by M & W Excavation Co. as Project Manager.

Mitch was a member of St. Mary's Church, Alexandria. Graduate of Bishop Brossart High School-2003. Graduate of Northern Kentucky University in Dec. 2007. Mitch loved to coach and coached the 7th. Grade Boys at St. Mary's where they won the 2008 Diocesan Championship. He lettered in Basketball and Baseball at Bishop Brossart. He was offered the JV coaching position last year, but with work and other committments could not do it at this time. Mitch loved being on the Retreat Team for Seniors at the High School. He was President of the Machanical Contractors Association of America at Northern Kentucky University. Mitch loved doing the Brossart games with Dave Schabell on Brossart web-site, www.bmustangs.com. He was part owner of a Bengal Bus where they would tailgate every home game and then also traveled and see the bengals play where this past year was traveling to Minnesota and San Diego and also playing Torrey Pines Golf Course and also going to Disneyland. He also went to Disneyworld with his sisters where they saw Mickey getting a little jealous because Minnie and Mitch were getting together and kidding around. Mitch knew no strangers, great personality and a great smile. Mitch was also a Organ Donor and for anyone that knew him, knows that he would want it no other way but to help other people who are in need.

Mitch is survived by his mother, Julie (nee Frommeyer) and John Luscheck, Cold Spring,KY.

Also is Father, Dave and Shady Orth, Alexandria, KY.
