Betty Caudill

Betty Ballard Caudill stepped into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.  Of the many tremendous things that can be said of her, she truly believed in JOY – Jesus first, Others second, and Yourself last.  Even if you met her only one time, you were undoubtedly impacted by her love for others.  Her conversations always ended with, “I love you, and my Jesus loves you too.”
As a manager of Brothers Three Restaurant in downtown Cincinnati’s Dixie Terminal Building, she was the morning person who cared deeply enough to make a difference in whatever she did.  She knew exactly what each of her customers wanted and even had their table set and food cooking before they walked through the door.  They were one of her many “families.”
She was deeply committed to family and to those that simply needed a family to belong to, extending her compassion and love to anyone who was close enough to be wrapped tight in her hug.  From the moment you met her, you knew you had someone who loved you no matter what.
Betty, Mom, Grandma, Mom-Mom, Gigi, Aunt Bessie, Mommy Betty (her many names), shared with us her laughter, kindness, values, hugs, happiness, and humor.  She has given us many wonderful memories, and we are so thankful to have been a part of her life.
She is predeceased by:  her daughter, Connie Marie Caudill; husband, James Caudill, Sr.; brother, Russell Ballard and her parents, Roy and Bertha Watkins Ballard.  She is survived by:  her sisters, Imogene King and Alice Marie Mango; sons and daughters, Jim and Theresa Caudill, Jr., Edwinna Meister, and Jeff and Cathy Foisel.
Also deeply feeling the loss are treasured grandchildren:  Jimi and Alicia Caudill, III; Richie and Mandy Caudill; Reece and Michelle Meister, IV; Natasia Meister and Roger Bachman; Renee and Adam Skedell; as well as “2.5” great-grandchildren, Cameron Caudill and Connor Caudill, and another on the way.  She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family who will sorely feel her loss.
Always remember that she loves you and will be waiting for all of us “just inside the Eastern gate over there.”
A memorial is planned for 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Highland Heights, 2315 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, Kentucky 41076.  If you would like to make a donation on her behalf, consider the Pantry of Hope at the First Baptist Church of Highland Heights.
