Jane Schweitzer

Jane "Aunt Jane" Margaret Schweitzer (nee Wolfzorn), age 85, of Cold Spring, KY passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, KY. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Schweitzer and her son, Kenny Schweitzer. She is survived by her son, Rick Schweitzer of Cold Spring, KY; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, KY on Saturday, February 3rd from 9am to 11am with the Funeral Service immediately following. Dorothy J. Dietz (nee Diamond), 94, of Camp Springs, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy retired from Western Union and operated the family business, Dietz Lakes of Camp Springs. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Richard Dietz; 2 daughters, Sherryll (Oscar) Tucker and Lynn (Edward) Griffiths; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Hogle, John Nelson, Scott Nelson, Elliott Clark and Casey Tucker; also survived by 6 great- grandchildren. Jack M. Moore

Jack M. Moore, age 82, of Melbourne, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Jack worked for Butternut Bread as a fleet mechanic for 47 years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening, reading, and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Georgetta (nee Lonemann) Moore; his daughter, Melissa Ann Moore; his siblings, Shirley Pearson and Leonard Moore. Jack is survived by his wife, Betty (nee Brown) Moore; son, Michael (Vicki) Moore of Haines City, FL; daughter, Michele "Mitzi" (Jim) Widmeyer of Wilder, KY; sister, Janet (Edward) Carson of Sebastian, FL; two grandchildren, Christopher Widmeyer of Taylor Mill, KY and Morgan Widmeyer of Wilder, KY; one step-granddaughter, Tracy (Johnny) Hunt of Haines City, FL; also survived by his dog, Casper. Harold "Hod" Kinney

Harold “Hod” Kinney, 87, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at The Seasons of Alexandria. Hod retired from the CSX Railroad as a General Manager. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by three sons, Mike, Jim and infant Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Florence E. Kinney (nee Moore); children, Doug Kinney, Joe (Mary Ann) Kinney, Cathy (Jeff) Dewberry, Connie (Ron) Field and Cindy (Bob) Hoeb; siblings, Florence “Seek” Edwards and Gordon Kinney; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Shirley L. Baldinger

Shirley L. Baldinger (nee Grosardt), age 91, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. She was a former cosmetologist and formerly worked in the cafeteria for Campbell County Schools for 23 years. Shirley was an active member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Alexandria, KY. She participated in Sunday School, Bible School, Women's Guild, cooked for the soup kitchen, Lawn Fetes, Me & Thee, and sang in the choir for 20 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star #137. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce C. Baldinger, in 2003. She is survived by her two daughters, Charlene (the late Wayne) Rogers and Diane Weber; and one granddaughter, Julie Weber. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 22nd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with the Funeral Service immediately following at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1 N. Larry Rodgers

Larry Rodgers, 76, of California, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 14th at University Hospital, Cincinnati. He was a retired inspector with ADT Security Services (45 years) and was currently working as a Meat Clerk at Kroger. Larry was also an avid golfer and bowler, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mildred Rodgers and cousin, Jo-Ann Barnett. Larry is survived by his loving spouse of 37 years, Carolyn Rodgers (nee. Ruf); 2 daughters, Barb (James) Farney & Missy (Jeff) Simons; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Cassie, Amanda & Alex, and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10-12 p.m., with the Funeral Ceremony to follow at 12 p.m., Thursday, January 18th at Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria. Kenneth F. Bundy

Kenneth F. Bundy, age 82, of Alexandria, passed away on January 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. Ken was a retired Master Sergeant for the U.S. Airforce. He was also an electrical vocational school teacher for 20 years and drove tour buses in Cincinnati, OH and Yuma, AZ. Ken was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Melbourne, KY where he and his wife founded the Bread of Life Food Pantry. He was also a member of the Alexandria Lions Club and the Alexandria Masonic Lodge 152. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arline M. Bundy (nee Wielbruda). He is survived by his two sons, Kevin (Brad) Bundy, Keith (Jolynne) Bundy; sister, Diana Bundy; step-mother Evelyn Bundy; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at Alexandria Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 17th from 5pm to 8pm. A second visitation will be on Thursday, January 18th at Saint John Lutheran Church, 5977 Lower Tug Fork Rd, Melbourne, KY 41059 from 9am until time of Funeral Service at 10am. Donald G. Mutsch

Donald G. Mutsch, age 63, of Wilder, KY passed away on  January 10, 2018. Donald was a retired Elevator Mechanic for Otis Elevator Company, Cincinnati, OH. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Alexandria, the Bob White Club, and the Elevator Constructors Union Local 11. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his favorite thing in life was being a father. He took great pride in his son's athletic accomplishments, faithfully following and attending various sporting events from pre-school to the Xavier University. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Veronica (nee Chaput) Mutsch. He is survived by his son, Nathan Mutsch; his son's mother, Karen Mutsch; brother, Doug (Angie) Mutsch.  A Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church, Alexandria on Monday, January 15th at 10am. He was a retired machinist for the Ford Motor Company and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Constance McGill (nee Slye) 74, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at her home. Connie was retired and formerly worked in the auditing department at Pogue’s. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Patrick D. McGill; two daughters, Ann (Steve) Zimmer and Beth McGill; one sister, Angie Herbst;  four grandchildren, Gabrielle Bomboris, Marissa Harris, Casondra Valerio and Dante Estice-Wilson; five great-grandchildren, Noah Harris, Connor Harris, Kayden Harris, Kailyn Harris and Kenadi Valerio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Howard Slye; brother, Howard Slye Jr., and three grandchildren, Curtis McGill, Angela Embry-McGill and Jessica Bomboris. Beatrice Martin Menning

Beatrice Martin Menning (nee Quitter), 89, of Alexandria, KY, passed away January 1, 2018 at home. Beatrice was a homemaker and a member of Saint Mary Seniors. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Brian) Keenan, Janet (Doug) Hatfield, Marilyn (John) Kramer and Marty (Lou) Ball; brother, Ralph (Marge) Quitter; step-children, Kendra Evans, Margaret Mohr, Mary O’Brien, Karen, Dennis, Darryl, Richard and Jeff Menning; eleven grandchildren seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Gilbert Martin and Donald Menning; son, Gilbert Martin and step sons, Donald and Raymond Menning. Visitation Monday, January 8, 2018 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church, Alexandria, KY from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following. Ethan Williams

Ethan Daniel Tyler Williams, 27, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017.  Ethan was born October 13, 1990 in Bowling Green, KY to Charles and Debbie (nee Payne) Williams.  He was a graduate of Campbell County High School.  Ethan worked in the shipping industry, performed in the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, and was also an amateur musician.  He had a love for all things musical and loved listening to and writing music.  He was proficient with the French horn, mellophone, bass guitar, and keyboards.  His sense of humor and use of puns were always a source of laughter and will be sorely missed.  He is survived by his parents; girlfriend, Kara Ridder; two brothers, Phillip (Rachel) Williams, Joseph (Katherine) Williams; also survived by his nephew Gale Williams and three foster-nephews.  Ethan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles and Allie (nee Hudson) Williams and maternal grandparents Kenneth and Katherine (nee Hawks) Payne.  He will forever live on in the hearts and minds of the many lives that he touched as a friend, brother, son, and loved one. Memorial Visitation will be 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at Main Street Baptist Church, 11903 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001.  Memorial Service will follow the Visitation starting at 5:00 PM. Jerry Painter

Jerry E. Painter, 76, of California, KY, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at home. Jerry is survived by his wife, Janet Painter (nee Dean); three children, Mark (Kim) Painter, Kim (Doug) Holzschuh and Todd (Tamara) Painter; seven grandchildren, Leah (Jared Harper) Painter and Josiah Painter, Lauren (Ronny) Young, Tyler (Kelsey Disney) Holzschuh, Noah Holzschuh; Abby (Noah) Marshall, and TJ Painter; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Marshall and Killian Young; three siblings, Bob Painter, Pat (Dave) Cox and Bertha Meighen; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Painter; parents, Lawrence and Clara Belle (Cryer) Painter, and a brother, Dallas Painter. Jerry was a retired machinist and worked 18 years for American Tool Works and 25 years for Fischer Special Manufacturing. Jerry was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church and was a founding member of the building committee. Over the years, he worked on the Church for two different remodels and additions. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, camping and thoroughly enjoyed gardening and taking care of his lawn.  His children and grandchildren were a particular source of pride.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Oakland United Methodist Church, located at  7867 Stonehouse Road, Melbourne, KY 41059 beginning at 10:00 AM.  A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM immediately following visitation. Robert J. Hartig, 54, of Newport, KY, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Highlandspring of Ft. Thomas. Robert was a clerk at  Klingenberg Hardware at the former Newport &  then at the Covington store. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Barbara (Heidelberg) Hartig. Robert is survived by his siblings, Melissa Stone, Tiffany Hartig, Don Hartig and Bill Hartig; also survived by several nieces & nephews.
