Ellen "Joyce" Beal

Ellen “Joyce” Beal (nee Hardy), 87, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at her home. Joyce was a retired administrative assistant for the American Red Cross and also worked for Campbell County Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Beal and a son, David Beal. Joyce is survived by six children, Deborah Zepf, Darlene Johnston, Douglas Beal, Della McCarthy, Dennis Beal and Dinah Studer; three brothers, Dorse Hardy Jr., Dick Hardy and Bill Hardy; eighteen grandchildren, Amy Hertzenberg, Darrin Zepf, Dana Zepf, David Johnston, Heather Johnston, Erin Johnston, Beth Leeseman, Chip Johnston, Alexis Beal, Adrienne Beal-Marsh, Bryon Fagin, Jonathan Fagin, Dennis Beal Jr., Jarrett Beal, Megan Beal, Emmylou Doyle, Amanda Studer and Justin Studer; fourteen great grandchildren, Jade Hertzenberg, Taylor Hertzenberg, Kaitlyn Hall, Collin Hertzenberg, Wyatt Zepf, Layla Zepf, Alex Beck, Maverick Elam, Heaven Goods, Tristan Fagin, Reis Doyle, Josie Studer, Jacob Fagin and Morgan Ware; four great great grandchildren, Gavin, Ryland, Westyn and Ethan. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the funeral home. Mary Lee Jolly

Mary Lee Jolly (nee Eckerle), 87, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at the River Valley Nursing Home, Butler, KY. Mary Lee was a member of Main Street Baptist Church of Alexandria, KY. She enjoyed taking care of her home and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mary Lee is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Jolly; sons and daughter-in-laws, Barry (Susan) Jolly, Terry (Lisa) Jolly and Gary (Tracey) Jolly; brother and sister-in-law, William (Ruth Ann) Eckerle; grandchildren, Jesiah Bertsch, Lisa Petrey, Lacy Owen, Justin Jolly, Whitney Loreaux, Brady Jolly, Taylor Jolly, Grant Jolly and Reid Jolly; also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren. Visitation Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Main Street Baptist Church, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A second visitation will be Friday at the Church from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Shelby Renee Hodge

Shelby Renee Hodge, age 26, of Florence, KY passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018.  Shelby was a 2010 graduate of Campbell County High School.  She was a delivery driver for LaRosa’s Pizza in Florence and a member of Plum Creek Christian Church, Butler, KY. Shelby was also a 2017 graduate of the Brighton Recovery Center for Women. She is survived by her mother, Kim (Brad Stroup) Hodge; father, Arthur Hodge; brother, Stephen Hodge; grandparents, Steve and Sally Mefford; aunts, Krista (Jesse) Lyke, Claire and Karen Hodge; uncle, Todd (Laurie) Mefford; cousins, Gracie and Mitch Mefford; also survived by a host of family and friends. Shelby’s family would like to extend their appreciation to everyone at the Brighton Recovery Center for the love and support they have provided. Visitation will be held at the Plum Creek Christian Church, 961 Nagel Rd, Butler, KY 41006, on Tuesday, February 27th from 3pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 7pm.  Memorial Donations are suggested to: The Brighton Recovery Center for Women, 375 Weaver Rd, Florence, KY 41042. Thomas L. Boehne

Thomas L. Boehne, 63, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at home. Tom was a retired terminal operator for Kinder-Morgan. He is survived by his fiancée, Joyce Thompson; daughter, Jennifer Donaldson (Brian Thompson); son, David Martin (Kristi); grandchildren, Kaleb, Kegan, Jude, Jocelyn & Brady; sister, Patricia Sparks (Jim); brothers, John Boehne (Joann) & Chuck Boehne (Donna); step-children, Brandon Thompson (Heather) & Paula Fryman (Rob). Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Anna Mae (Huhn) Boehne and a sister Barbara Townsley. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Lawson/Koch Family

Brandon, age 23, Taylor, age 22, Brendon, age 21 months and Isabella, age 7 months died together in a traffic accident in Cold Spring on February 6, 2018. Brandon is survived by his father, Gregory Alford, his mother, Patricia Lawson (Tony Holt) Alford, his grandmother, Maymie Alford, and his brothers and sisters; Alicia Brossart, Danielle Orr, Bradley and Joshua Alford.  Taylor is survived by her mother, Peggy Pollit, her father, Robert Bridewell, her parents, Tina and Jerry Koch, her grandmother, Suzanne Scheck, her brothers and sisters; Justin, Tiffany and Kristen Pollit, Danielle Sandlin, Matthew, Michelle, Maria, Melissa Brandon and Tori Koch. The family will be mourned by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St Mary Church, Alexandria, KY, from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery, Alexandria, KY. The Lawson and Koch families request donations to help with the funeral costs. Melvin E. Spaulding

Melvin E. Spaulding, age 86, of Alexandria died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Cold Spring Transitional Care Center.  He was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the Campbell County V.F.W. Post 3205.  He graduated from the University of Cincinnati and worked for 37 years for General Electric as an engineer. He also served on the Planning and Zoning Board and council in the late 60’s to the mid 70’s in Alexandria. He was preceded in by his wife, Nola J. Spaulding in 1976. Survived by his son, Michael D. (Deborah) Spaulding of Alexandria; two step-granddaughters, Shannon and Brandy; two step great-grandchildren, Michaela and Espen. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9th from 9am to 11am with the Funeral Service immediately following at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorial Donations are suggested to: Campbell County V.F.W. Post 3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001.

Lois Jean Youtsey

Lois Jean Youtsey (nee Cox), age 82, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, KY. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Lois is survived by her husband, John Henry Youtsey; son, Chuck (Allison) Youtsey; two daughters, Connie (Jim) O'Donnell and Kay (David) Barada; sisters, Charlene (John) Melson, Ina Lou Real, and Kathy Fortner; also survived by 8 grandchildren, Jeremy Barada, Jenny Barada, Staci Elmer, Kevin Wenrick, Kimberly Parsons, Kristen Layo, Kari Baraldi and Cailyn Youtsey; 7 great grandchildren, Kailyn Barada, Kiley Barada, Adley Elmer, Avery Parsons, Ryan Parsons, Scarlett Baraldi and Hannah Wenrick.
