Ted Daniels

Ted John Daniels, 70, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home. Served in the Army during the Vietnam Era as an Army Medic. He retired from CSX Railroad after 30 years of service. Ted loved flying his airplane, a 1947 Cessna 140 that he had restored and was a member of the Gene Snyder Airport Board, Falmouth, KY. Ted was a member of Saint Joseph Parish, Camp Springs, KY. He was a Boy Scout Leader and Explorer Scout himself. He also enjoyed camping, hiking, scuba diving and outdoor projects. Ted was an exceptional artist and master craftsman and known to be able to fix or build anything. Ted didn’t know a stranger and was a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Agatha (Knuehl) Daniels and two brothers, Harold And Jerry Daniels; sister-in-law Donna Daniels. Ted is survived by his wife of 47 years, Karen (Gorman); two children, Amber (Christian) Nichols and Erik (Megan) Daniels; brother, Ron Daniels; four grandchildren, Kendall, Chase, Dawson Nichols and Emery Daniels; two sister-in-laws, Linda Daniels and Kathleen Daniels. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St, Alexandria, KY. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am Saturday February 2, 2019 at Saint Joseph Church Camp Springs, KY. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Mentor, KY. Virginia Cecelia Lucas (nee Breland), age 83, of Newport, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Center, Edgewood, KY.  Virginia was a member of Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church, and also attended the Community Family Church, Independence, KY. Virginia loved to play the piano and sing gospel songs, her favorite song was “I’ll Fly Away”.  She loved the Lord and attended church her entire life.  She leaves her husband, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with great memories of her love for cooking and sharp wit.  She was “Queen of chicken and dumplings”. Her holiday meals were superb and always a family favorite, as well as, Sundays after church…with plenty of “leftovers” for all to take home and enjoy during the week. Virginia is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Lucas; daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (Gary, Sr.) Simon; three grandchildren, Gary Simon, Jr., Amanda “Amy” Simon, and James (Laura) Simon; six great-grandchildren, Hanna, Eli, Caleb, Violet, Samuel and Seth. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Amanda Beulah (nee Slade) Breland; siblings, Norma Martin, Edward and Bill Breland.  Visitation will be held at Taylor Mill Pentecostal Church, 5336 Taylor Mill Rd, Taylor Mill, KY 41015 on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10am to 12pm with the Funeral Service beginning at 12pm.  Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Carthage, KY. Arrangements entrusted to Alexandria Funeral Home.

Keith Michael Parker

Keith Michael Parker, 38, of Florence, KY, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home. Keith was the owner and operator of Everything Outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Diehl Parker; parents, Earl and Mary Bennett Parker; siblings, Jeff Parker, Carrie (Chad) Brumback and Debbie (Craig) Kramer; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family members and friends. Keith was the hardest worker and took pride in all he did.  He was a Harley riding, dirt bike racing, beer drinking son of a gun.  He adored his wife and would do anything for his family and friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at Acree Hall Knights of Columbus, 5876 Veterans Way, Burlington, KY 41005 from 5 PM - 9  PM.  Memorials are suggested to PNC Bank in memory of Keith. Carl "Dick" Bersch

Carl Richard “Dick” Bersch Sr., 88, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at Coldspring Transitional Care Center. Dick was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Highland Heights, Alexandria Masonic Lodge # 152 F.& A.M., Alexandria and the Plasterers Union Local #132, Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his son, C Richard “Rick” Bersch Jr. Dick is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise Bersch (nee Fausz); two daughters; Diana Heidelberg and Beverly Bersch; two grandsons, Tom and Chad (Nicole) Heidelberg and three great-grandchildren. Visitation Monday, February 4, 2019 at Asbury United Methodist Church,  2916 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, KY 41076 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM with a Masonic Service and Funeral Service immediately following. Anna Mae Gosney

Anna Mae Gosney (nee Schultz), 90, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home in California, KY. Anna Mae retired from the former St. Luke Hospital after 25 years of service. She loved being with her family and friends, and enjoyed bingo, quilting, embroidery, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. Anna Mae is survived by her children: Tom (Mary) Gosney, Julie (Joe) Darpel, Becky (Ralph) Martin, Jim (Connie) Gosney, Sandy (Allen) Lyle, Harry (Jo-Lynn) Gosney, Cindy (Dennis) Daniel, Tom Spangler and Jimbo Spangler; daughter-in-law, Sharon Gosney; siblings: Leonard Schultz, Freida Hartig and Adella Kramer; twenty-five grandchildren, fifty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  Anna Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Anna (Gunkel) Schultz; son Dick Gosney; five brothers, Herbert, Edwin, Elmer, Harold and Alphonse Schultz. Greg Egan



Greg L. Egan, 43, of Erlanger, KY, lost his fight with cancer on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Greg worked for Great American Insurance Company. in the graphic design department. He is survived by his mother and step father, Dottie (Mohrstadt) and George Hundemer; father, William Egan; sister and brother in law, Lisa and Mitch Hempfling; step brother, Marshall Hundemer; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Thomas D'Alessandro

Thomas D’Alessandro, age 82, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Carmel Manor, Ft. Thomas, KY. He was born on May 9, 1936 in Cleveland, OH to parents, Mario Saverio (Sol) and Marian (nee Graves) D'Alessandro. Thomas was a retired Assistant Circuit Executive for the 6th Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, KY.  Thomas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara D'Alessandro (nee Melcher); two sons, John (Jennifer) and Mark (Irmghard) D'Alessandro; two brothers, Robert (Barbara) and Michael (Arlene) D'Alessandro; three grandchildren, Luke, Benjamin and Maximo; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and many dear friends. Darrell Lee Goad

Darrell Lee Goad, 64, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oval and Lois (Sanders) Goad. Darrell was retired from the IRS. He was also a long time member of Pendleton Country Club.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Goad (nee Painter); two children, Darren (Julie) Goad and Kelli (Adam) Eads; three grandchildren, Avery Eads, Anna Eads and Thatcher Goad. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Canada Sr. in 2015. Michael Eaton

Michael Roy Eaton, 70, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at his home. Mike was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, retired switchman for Cincinnati Bell, and member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Cold Spring. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jayne Keating Eaton; three children, Taylor Eaton, Brittany (Brook) Walther and Chris Gosney; two brothers, Keith (Helen) Eaton and Dennis (Jennifer) Eaton; three grandchildren, Burnie, Wesley and Vivian Walther. John C. Frazier

John C. Frazier, 86, Alexandria, died at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY, January 5, 2019. He was born October 26, 1932, to John and Julia Clarke Frazier of Bellevue. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Linda; his blended family of five daughters, Beth (John) Hensley, Columbus, OH; Vicki (Kyle) Prince, Falmouth, KY; Gayle Frazier, Knoxville, TN; Linda (John) Beck, Henderson, NV; Melodie (Kevin) Collins, Sorrento, FL; one son, Randy (Robin) Perkins, Cold Spring, and two fur buddies, Lexy and Sofi. John was loved dearly by fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol, who died Christmas day when she was 40 years old, and one daughter Marcia (Jim) Reinzan. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He donated his body to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Lee H. Ampfer

Lee H. Ampfer, 85, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. Lee was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He retired from Cincinnati Bell, was an Army Veteran, a member of Saint Mary Seniors, Vagabond Square Dancers, Good Sam Angels, and a volunteer for Monday Men at Saint Joseph Parish, Cold Spring. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Ann Ampfer (nee Bartlett) and three brothers. Lee is survived by:  two sons, Steve (Elaine) Ampfer, and Paul (Diane) Ampfer; daughter, Karen (Bill 2010) Humphreys; five grandchildren: David (Brittany) Humphreys, Jeff (Micki) Humphreys, Marcie (Robert) Thomas, Christi (Chad) Townson and Julie (Michael) Hickman; ten great-grandchildren. Louis Frank Burkhardt

Louis Frank Burkhardt, 96, of California, KY, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at The Seasons @ Alexandria. Louis was born May 26, 1922 to his late parents, Frank and Anna (Wolfzorn) Burkhardt. In his earlier years he was a tile setter, also worked for Dover Elevator and worked side by side with his wife on their farm. He was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Parish and Catholic Order of Foresters. Louis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Clara Burkhardt (nee Brossart) five brothers: Al, Larry, Joe, Ray Sr., and Bill Burkhardt. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Raymond E. Emminger

Raymond E. Emminger, age 86, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Raymond worked for General Electric for 37 years. He was a member of St. Mary Church, Alexandria, KY, Knights of Columbus, Sts. Peter & Paul Foresters, and the International Association of Machinist Union # 912. Raymond enjoyed western square dancing and was an experienced hoe down caller. He was an avid gardener and loved hunting and traveling. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Jean Emminger and second wife Frances Emminger; three sons, Billy, Bobby, and Michael Emminger. He is survived by his four daughters, Regina Templeton, Rhonda (Scott) Ausdenmoore, Robin (Kevin) McLaughlin, Rebecca (James) Ford; sister, Rita Prim; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Anita "Sue" Bartz

Anita “Sue” Bartz (nee Gosney), 68, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home in Mentor, KY. Sue was a paramedic with Eastern Campbell Volunteer Fire Department for over 22 years and was honored as member of the year in 2001. She was a member of Mentor Church. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Bartz, parents Ernest and Edna (Riddle) Gosney, a brother, Bill Gosney. She is survived by two children, Karen (William) Herald and Michael (Sarah) Bartz; two sisters, Margie Sheffel and Maggie Gosney; four grandchildren Amanda Herald, Noah Herald, Sophie Bartz and Trent Bartz; two sister-in-laws, Bev Smith and Sandra Gosney; one brother-in-law, Brian Bartz.
