Janet - This morning's Beaufort Gazette brought the shocking news of Ron's death. Please accept our deepest sympathies. I had no idea he was not well. Just yesterday I was going through some handbell music and saw "RR" written at the top of a piece in Nyle's unmistakable handwriting. I smiled to remember fun times when we rang together in the Steeple Sounds. May you find blessings along the way as you learn to live without him. With much love...
ReplyDeleteWhat a sad day for Persimmon Grove as we have to say goodbye to our neighbor Ron Rouse. Ron was my cousin, neighbor, and friend and now that he has passed there is a big part of our neighborhood that will never be the same. Please know that our hearts are filled with grief and joy all at the same time as Ron worked hard to join the Lord in his house. He was destined to return to Jesus and he will be sitting right next to his beautiful daughter, Ronna Ann. Janet, you are truly loved here in Persimmon Grove and we will miss Ron deeply.
ReplyDeleteJanet, Karen and I send our prayers and love. I always think of you and Ron when I look next door. The memories of the good times setting with Ron in his shop telling hunting and fishing stories will be with me forever.
ReplyDeleteWith Love, Mike and Karen
Janet and Beck. One never really knows what to say in times like these. To sad we are sad is a given. To say we are happy that your loved one has gone on seems cruel. But we all know that Ronnie is happier now, pain free, and with his beloved daughter. And for that, how can we be anything but happy? And he is with his Lord and for that we must rejoice. Please know that we are here for you both and will help out in any way we can. May God comfort and care for you and guide you through these next few difficult days, weeks and months. Our hearts are heavy but our spirits are glad. Love to you both. Tina and Mike.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. Ron was a great guy and made great contributions during your days on Fripp. He was a staple at the FI Marina and I miss seeing him and the boys there every afternoon. He will be greatly missed. He is now at peace and congregating with all those that passed before him, probably having a beer. He will be in your heart forever and in the hearts of those that knew him. Love to you and your family

Hi Becky and Janet,
ReplyDeletePlease accept my condolences. It has been a long time since I seen you, as I did not know that Ron was ill. My memories are from Ron hanging around The Schneider Family, horses and he lived on Poplar Ridge.
May your good memories help you through this trying time.
Diana Schneider
My heart goes out to you, Mrs. Rouse. Your husband (or "Mr Ron" as my brother and I called him) was always a joy to be around and was a role model for my brother and I. I still remember his humorous and sometimes unbelievable hunting stories and that is how I will continue to remember him - as a knowledgeable man who loved a good story and making people laugh. . I would like to fly an American flag in his memory. May he rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteDear Janet,
ReplyDeleteHenry and I send our love and condolences to you in the going home of Ron. We have fond memories of your time at the Baptist Church of Beaufort. May you feel God's special love and comfort in the time ahead. Blessings, Peggy and Henry Jackson
Dear Janet: So very sorry to read about Ron. Gerry and I have such great memories of you both here in Beaufort, and how kind you were when we first came to this country. Ron was the first person here to take Gerry out flounder fishing, and you welcomed us both just like your family. I can still see Ron’s great smile and hearty laugh. I think of you often, and feel so dreadfully sad… please know we are thinking about you at this most difficult time. With much love, always, Diane and Gerry Kenny.
