Virginia Voelker

Virginia Voelker (nee Mason),  93, formerly of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY. She was the former owner of Penny Cleaners, Alexandria, KY and a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Alexandria, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin Voelker; a son, Tom Voelker and a grandson, Jeffrey Voelker. Mrs. Voelker is survived by a daughter, Linda (Donald) Jansen; three sons, John (Charlotte) Voelker, William (Pamela) Voelker and Kenneth (Susan) Voelker; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Shirley Jenkins

Shirley Ann Jenkins, age 85, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas. Shirley loved to sing and will be remembered for her beautiful voice. She is preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Tackett. She is survived by her children, Bonnie Thompson, Larry Tackett, Jerry Tackett and Linda Tackett; sisters, Clara, Betty, Judy, Mary and Sue; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 11am to 1pm with Funeral Services beginning at 1pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home.

Richard "Dick" Gosney

Richard “Dick” Gosney, 62,  of Alexandria, KY , passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. He was a retired carpenter. Dick was a member of Father DeJaco Council # 5220 Knights of Columbus and also a member of Bishop Flaget Assembly of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus of Northern Kentucky. He is survived by his wife Sharon (Pelfrey) Gosney; two daughters, Tracee (Dave) Sprong and Melissa (Eddie) Kramer; one son, Jay (Danielle) Yelton; his mother, Anna Mae (Late James) Gosney; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Julie (Joe) Darpel. Becky (Ralph) Martin, Sandy (Allen) Lyle and Cindy (Dennis) Daniel; four brothers, Thomas (Mary) Gosney, James (Connie) Gosney, Tommy Spangler and Harry (Jo Lynn) Gosney. Pamela B. Ciccarella

Pamela B. Ciccarella, 63, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker. Pam was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “TJ” Ciccarella. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Tony Ciccarella; one daughter, Melissa Moore; her parents, Harold and Helen West; one sister, Myra Payne; one brother, John West; three grandchildren, Brianna, Braiden and Madison. Visitation 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Funeral service 10: 00 AM Monday at the funeral home.  Interment 12:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY.

Dr. Charles E. Gray

 Dr. Charles E. Gray, 79, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014. He held a Master’s Degree in music from Baylor University and a PHD from Southern Illinois University in higher education administration and devoted his life to serving in those two capacities in several states. He was an active member at the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, KY, where he served at times as a Moderator and a Deacon. He was born in Rome, GA on November 17, 1934 to the late Clarence Gray and the late Sara Gray Self. He married Doris Keltner Gray on June 24, 1956. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tamara Belanger of Alexandria, KY; a brother, Henley Gray of Rome GA; six grandchildren, Caleb, Rachael, Hannah, Noah, Solomon and Naomi; one uncle, G. A. Gaines and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 12:00 noon until service at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cold Spring.
