Dr. Charles E. Gray

 Dr. Charles E. Gray, 79, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014. He held a Master’s Degree in music from Baylor University and a PHD from Southern Illinois University in higher education administration and devoted his life to serving in those two capacities in several states. He was an active member at the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, KY, where he served at times as a Moderator and a Deacon. He was born in Rome, GA on November 17, 1934 to the late Clarence Gray and the late Sara Gray Self. He married Doris Keltner Gray on June 24, 1956. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Tamara Belanger of Alexandria, KY; a brother, Henley Gray of Rome GA; six grandchildren, Caleb, Rachael, Hannah, Noah, Solomon and Naomi; one uncle, G. A. Gaines and several nieces and nephews.  Visitation Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 12:00 noon until service at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.  Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cold Spring.
