William Earl Nagel Sr.


William Earl Nagel Sr., 74, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at his residence. William was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Irene Nagel, a sister, Joyce Gibson and a brother, Robert Nagel. He is survived by his wife Georgeanne Nagel (nee Eten); children, Barbara Nagel, Karen (Mark) Berkemeyer, Sharon (John) Ferguson, Jennifer (Mike) Tritsch, William (Alyssa) Nagel Jr., Brian (Gracy) Nagel, Henry (Crissy) Nagel, Mark (Melissa) Nagel and Mike Ferrara; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday at Saint Philip Church, Melbourne, KY. Entombment will be in Saint Stephen Mausoleum, Fort Thomas, KY. Memorials are requested to Saint Elizabeth Hospice, 483, S. Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017.

    My deepest condolences to the Nagel family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises us that He will soon cease all death and suffering.

    I always enjoyed talking to Bill. He was a man with a very gentle soul. I'm so happy to have had the priviage of knowing him as breif as it was. Rest in Peace, sweet Bill.
