Linda Braun Winkler

Linda Braun Winkler, 64, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends. She fought a hard and courageous battle against Breast Cancer. She was born March 20, 1954 in Fort Thomas, to her late parents John and Laverne (Painter) Braun. Linda was a CPA for PNC Bank and worked until retirement at Proctor and Gamble. Throughout her life Linda loved to travel. Her adventures with family and friends took her around the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Caribbean. Linda was a dedicated lifelong member of First Twelve Mile Baptist Church. She was a true example of what Christ wants a Christian to be. Survived by, her husband, John Winkler, Melbourne, KY; step-daughter, Sarah (Winkler) Petoniak (Peter), step-son, David Winkler; grandchildren: Jacob, Henry and Georgia Petoniak, Green Bay, WI, along with extended family and friends. Visitation Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the First Twelve Mile Baptist Church, 3288 Oneonta Rd, California, KY 41007 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Memorials are suggested to First Twelve Mile Baptist Church, 3288 Oneonta Rd, California, KY 41007 or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 7388 Turfway Rd, Florence, KY 41042. Alexandria Funeral Home is serving the family.

  2. Linda was an angel on earth and now is an angel in heaven. Linda lived her faith daily as she always put others' needs first. We loved our cousin. We will miss Linda and her radiant smile and sweetness. Our sympathy goes to John and Linda's extended family. Love, Barbara and Jeff Griffith
