Weslee Scott Ashlock

Weslee Scott Ashlock, 6 weeks, of Alexandria Kentucky, passed away Sunday morning, September 25, 2011 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. After this strong, happy baby boy fought for six long weeks and through five difficult surgeries, little Weslee decided it was time to be free from pain. He hopes to help others through the strength of his journey, research of his condition, and donation of his tissues and organs. Our little Angel Weslee will continue to watch over our family and all families experiencing similar journeys in their lives. He is preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, Robert Heck, Mildred Ashlock, and Garland Ashlock; paternal aunt Mikal Ashlock; maternal great grandparents, Mary Jane Fender, Robert Rebholz, and Marilyn Rebholz. He is survived by his ever loving parents, Christina Rebholz and Thomas Ashlock; big brother Tristan Ashlock; maternal grandparents, Sharri and Nick Rebholz; maternal uncle, Nicholas Rebholz; paternal grandparents, Nita Heck and Tom Ashlock; paternal aunt, Jillian Ashlock; paternal great-grandmother, Faye Heck; maternal great-grandparents, Eileen Rebholz, James Fender, and Larry and Jan Rohling; as well as all extended family members. The funeral will be held at Alexandria Funeral Home on Wednesday. Burial will follow immediately after at St. John’s Cemetery in Melbourne, KY. Visitation will be from 12 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday September 28, 2011. We send our blessings and thanks to all the staff at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Independent Perinatal Associates of Cincinnati, Michael Draznik M.D. and all our supporting family and friends for helping us through this difficult time in our lives. Any and all donations can be sent to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, in care of RCNIC, 3333 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229.
