Gale
F. Watson Sr., 65, of Alexandria, died September 12, 2012, at his residence. At
his request, no service will be held. Gale was born March 28, 1947, at Booth
Hospital in Covington, KY. Gale was an avid musician his entire life, being taught
by his father, and passing that passion down to his two oldest sons. Throughout
the late 70’s and most of the 80’s, he could be seen every weekend playing at
Bobbie Mackie’s, Glen Schmitz, or Mom’s Opery House. His band was Gale Watson and Kentucky
Morning. Gale served in the Navy, and spent most of his naval career in Hawaii. He worked many years for P&G, HENKLE, and
most recently with ADP. Gale spent more than 50 years of his life in Kentucky,
living every minute to the fullest. All
that knew him would tell you that his personality was bigger than life, and
nothing was more important to him than his kids. He is survived by his wife of
8 years, Sharyne; Sister, Diane; Sons, Gale Franklin Jr., Matthew Gale and
Jeffrey; Daughters, Jessica Gayle and Virginia; and his Niece, Diana.
