Louis G. Alford

Louis G. Alford, 87, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the VA Fort Thomas, KY. He was the retired owner of Alford Roofing of Cold Spring, KY. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen A. Alford; 3 daughters, Barbara Alford, Cheryl (Jerry) Herrmann and Beth Alford; 3 sons, Larry W. (Melanie) Alford, Scott A. Alford and Kurt L. (Cyndy) Alford; 4 sisters, Dorothy Fuller, Alice Fuller, Sue Daniels and Sandy Clift; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Dr. Calvin Perry Community Center, 8236 West Main Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 11:00 AM at the Dr. Calvin Perry Community Center, with Bill Denk And Loren Spellman, officiating. Interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. Memorials can be made to the American Legion Post #219, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001. Alexandria Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Thoughts of care and understanding are in my heart towards all of you since learning of the loss of Louis. He radiated the "light" of God's presence. Always had a word of cheerfulness towards all he interacted with. Grateful for his example that is safe to follow.

    May you know the True Source of Comfort as you face life without this gem!

    My heart is there with you - wishing I could give each of you a personal hug.
    I won't forget his smile or his many hugs. I'm so glad I got to see him in Nov!
    His spirit was so special! He loved everyone.
