Sam Baker
Sam Baker, 80, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood. Sam retired from Castellini Company and was former co - owner of Trapp's Sunoco Alexandria, KY, Past President of Northern Kentucky Saddle Club and was the founder of Broom Polo. Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Lillian Thornton Baker, two brothers, Blaine and Leyman Baker and a sister, Bernice Prebble. He is survived by a daughter, Sandi (Donnie) Wilder of Alexandria, KY; two sons, Tim (Kathryn) Baker of Boulder, CO and Jeff (Laura) Baker of Alexandria, KY; two sisters, Grace Line of Alexandria, KY and Roberta Weckbach of Covington, KY; one brother, B K Baker of Alexandria, KY; also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A celebration of Sam's life will be held at A J Jolly Park, Picnic Area # 1 on Friday, July 12, 2013 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 5:30 PM. Memorials may be made to Northern Kentucky Horse Network, 3500 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, KY 41076 or to Campbell County VFW Post #3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike Alexandria, KY 41001. So sorry for your loss, what I know of Sam Baker just in the short amount of time he was with us at Baptist Convalescent Center, he was a kind and gently soul. He used to work with my grandfather Allan Bo Trapp many years ago. May God Bless you all in this sad time and help you all keep Sam's memories alive. Michelle Obert
