Myron Born

Myron Ervin Born, 56, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. Myron worked for the United Postal Service for 32 years as a mail carrier at the Alexandria Post Office.  He was also with the Campbell County Fire District # 1 for 40 years and was currently serving as Deputy Chief and previously served as Chief of the Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Myron is survived by his wife, Donna Born (nee Dierig); son, Zachary Born; his parents, Ervin and Margaret Born; a sister, Dee Dee (Marty) Schubert; two brothers, Rodney (Bonnie) Born and Keith (Cindy) Born; mother-in-law, Joan Dierig; brother-in-law, Greg (Jean) Dierig; nephews, Joshua Johnson, Ryan Born, Bryon Johnson, Mark Born and Christopher Born; nieces, Emily Schubert, Kayla Born and JenNa Born; great nephews, Hayden Born and Kendal Harris; great nieces, Aubrie Johnson, Kaydence Hansen, Kloe Harris and Danielle Crowder; also survived by a host of family, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by, grandparents, Ralph and Catherine Born and George and Margaret Steffen and his father-in-law, Jack Dierig. Visitation Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Alexandria Funeral Home from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Saint Joseph Church, Camp Springs, KY. Interment in the Saint Joseph Cemetery, Camp Springs. Memorials are suggested to Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department, 6844 Four Mile Road, Melbourne, KY 41059 or to Saint Joseph Church, 6833 Four Mile Road Melbourne, KY 41059.

    We are very saddened to hear of Myron's passing. He was an extraordinary man. There are many in the community who will mourn deeply his passing as his was a life of service, love, and compassion. May he rest in peace.
