James Robert
Keeler, 86, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home in Chattanooga, TN. Formerly
of Fort Thomas, KY. He was a retired Engineering Supervisor for WKRC TV in
Cincinnati, OH, a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, Past President of Fort Thomas
Optimist Club & Past President of Highlands Band Association. His work with
WKRC, took him from their very first broadcast in April 1949 to switching
WKRC-TV's first live program, The Skipper Ryle Show & in June of 2009 he
was honored to flip the switch from analog tv to digital tv. He was also a
member of Local #1224 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as
well as a certified member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He is
survived by his wife, JoAnne Schnitzler Keeler, a daughter, Terri Hundermer,
two sons, Rob & Tim Keeler, step daughter, Barbara Brinkmann, 8
grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren & 2 step grandsons. A Memorial
Visitation 2:00 PM -5:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2012, with a Memorial Service at
5:00 PM, at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St. Alexandria, KY.
