  2. Janet,and all the J's,
I just heard of Alek's passing yesterday and am deeply sorry for your loss.
He was so much fun to grow up with as a neighbor and friend. We all have such fond memories of the gardening, Hogs, turkeys, horses, orchard, etc.It was like having a farm without all the work. He did put us to work feeding the hogs with expired dairy products, and I think we ate as much as the hogs.
He was always there to help fix a mower or other machine and had a supply of bolts and other things to keep us going.
I stopped to see him in the Baptist home and he was enjoying his western books and seemed (as much as one can under the circumstances)to be ok with where he was.
He will be missed by all of us.
Sincerely, John, Rick, Beth, and Jill
