Edward Anthony Mader, Sr., age 89, of Alexandria, KY passed
away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. Ed was the owner/operator of Mader Realty and
Insurance. He served in the Army Air
Corp. during the end of WWII. He was also an active member of St. Mary Parish,
Alexandria, KY and previously served as the assistant chief for the Alexandria
Volunteer Fire Department. Ed was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and
Timothy Mader. He is survived by his wife of 65yrs, Agnes Marie (nee Birkenhauer)
Mader; children, Ed Mader, Jr.(the late Margaret), Pam Mader, Susan Camp(Dale),
Mike Mader, Nancy Steffen(Joe), Dick Mader, Mary Ann Jones(Ron), Tony Mader,
Beth Sanker(Ken), Wendy Spurlin(Bill), Jan Roberts(Kenny), Chris Kidney(Tim)
and Annette Mader; brother, Robert Mader; 35 grandchildren and 22
great-grandchildren. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25,
2015 from 9am to 12pm with a Memorial Mass immediately following at St. Mary
Parish, 8246 E. Main St., Alexandria, KY 41001. Interment will be in St. Mary
Cemetery, Alexandria, KY. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the
St. Mary Adopt A Student Fund, 8246 E. Main St., Alexandria, KY 41001.
