Delmer Combs

Delmer Combs, age 86, of Alexandria, Ky., died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Hospice of the Bluegrass Fort Thomas in Fort Thomas, Ky. Mr. Combs was employed by General Electric, Served in WWII and was a lifetime member of VFW.
He is survived by his Wife Zedra Combs. Three Daughters,Barbara Nelson of Williamstown, KY. Judy Rose of Cincinnati, Ohio. Pamela Gentry of Goshen, Ohio. Four Sons, Raymond Stafford of Grants Lick, KY. David Combs, Gary Combs of Alexandria, KY. Stephen Combs of Alexandria, KY. Two Sisters,Geneva Herald of Texas and Pearl Dikes of Newport, Ky.
Visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Funeral service will be at Alexandria Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 27, 2010. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Ky.

Alberta Lee (Compton) Soard, age 58, of Somerset, Ky. formerly of Newport, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky. She is survived by her husband Victor Raymond Soard of Somerset,KY;Two Daughters, Shelly Brann of Somerset, Ky and Tillie Messmer of Newport, Ky.;Two Sons, Gary Guffy of Somerset, Ky and Phillip Guffy of Sandyhook, Ky.;Four Sisters, Maxine Compton,Tina Compton, Roxie Hall, and Brenda Smith;Three Brothers, Dennis,Kenny, and Almond Compton Jr.;also survived by Ten grandchildren.

Eloise McCormick


Eloise Painter McCormick, 87, of California, KY., died Wednesday, May 19, at Hospice of the Bluegrass, Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker, member of Carthage Church of the Nazarene, Sun Valley Seniors and Valley Homemakers.Her husband, Charles McCormick, died in 1996. Also preceded in death by her sister Laverne Braun "2009".Survivors include her sons, Ken, Ron and Gary McCormick, all of California; sisters, Alberta Auchter of Falmouth, Neva Lee Eshman of Foster, Charlotte Deaton of Hamilton, Ohio and Carleen Kees of Alexandria; brother, A.J. Myron Reinhardt


Myron S. Reinhardt, 83, died Thursday, May 13, at his home. He was a teacher at Dale Elementary School, principal at Alexandria Elementary School, deputy superintendent for Campbell County Schools, World War II Army veteran, member of the National Softball Hall Of Fame, referee for state and college basketball games including Rupp Arena for the state basketball tournaments. His wife, Audrey Reinhardt, died in 2001. Survivors include his daughter, Connie Hulsmeyer of Hopkinsville; sons, Randy and Gregory Reinhardt, both of Alexandria; and six grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, May 16, with service at 10 a.m. Monday, May 17, at Alexandria Funeral Home. George Kees


George Kees Jr., 85, died Wednesday, May 12, at his home. He was the owner of Kees Surgical Specialty Company in Wilder, an inventor and medical illustrator, former chairman of the Campbell County School Board for 14 years, a master mason for 60 years with Alexandria Masonic Lodge 152 F. A. & M., former chairman of Campbell County Industrial Board, former member of the board of directors for Provident Bank and a World War II Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carleen Painter Kees; daughters, Linda Bowers of Cold Spring, Nancy Maggard of Menomonie, Wis., Sally Holbrook of Alexandria; son, George Kees III of Cold Spring stepdaughter, Yvette Wilson of Alexandria; , stepson, Jeffrey Ward of Fort Thomas; sister, Bess Turner of Cold Spring; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Alexandria Funeral Home. Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Alexandria United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Alexandria Cemetery.

Kidney, 72, died Friday, May 7, at Alois Alzheimer Center in Cincinnati.Survivors include his daughters, Lisa Bartlett and Christy Wells, both of Alexandria; son, Timothy Kidney of Alexandria; sisters, Pat McGrath of Edgewood, Mary Deslongchamps of Sadieville; brothers, Stephen Kidney of Florence and David Kidney of Michigan and five grandchildren.
A celebration memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 14, at St. Mary Church, Alexandria. The mass will be celebrated on the 50th wedding anniversary of Frank (Francis) and Margie Kidney. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
