William "Bud" Erb

William “Bud” Erb, 75, of California, KY, died Monday, June 25, 2012 at his residence surrounded by loved ones. He was a retired union boilermaker. Bud was preceded in death by his parents Daisy & Earl Erb, sister, Laura Sand & daughter, Mary Lou Erb. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth (Sand) Erb & his children, Donna (Mike) Eggie of Melbourne, KY, Debbie (Larry) Youngman of Peach Grove, KY, Gary (Cathy) Erb, Sharon (Keith) Nelson, David (Krista) Erb, Kathy (Paul) Geiger & Bobby Sand all of California, KY. Also survived by, 11 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Alexandria Funeral Home Alexandria, KY. Funeral service 10:00 AM Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment GrandView Cemetery Mentor, KY. Keith Allen McGohan

Keith Allen McGohan , 39, of Melbourne, passed away on  June 4, 2012, at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas. He was a landscaper. Keith is survived by his parents, William McGohan & Regina Clos, brother, William McGohan; niece,  Berea McGohan; . Memorial service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012, 6:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, Kentucky, with Pastor Jamey Horton, officiating. Evy Buckler

Evy Buckler, 86, of Cold Spring, passed away on June 19, 2012 at her residence . She was a retired employee of the Palm Beach Company in Erlanger and Walmart in Alexandria. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Virginia Buckler; brothers, Walker, Chester and Ray Buckler; and her sister, Dorothy Bluhm. Evy is survived by her brothers, Dan (Ester) Buckler and Fred Buckler; sisters, Opal (Ken) Walters and Elsie (Bud) Fink; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, June 22, 2012 with the funeral service starting at 1:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, Kentucky. Marion P. Lydon , 90, of Alexandria, passed away on June 20, 2012 at the Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Fort Thomas, KY. She was a retired secretary for Saint Elizabeth North Covington, KY . Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Lydon "2003" & a son Jimmy Lydon "2000". Lillian Gilkey Carrier

Lillian Gilkey Carrier, 79, Loving wife, mother, and grandmother of Highland Heights, KY passed away on  June 15, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital Ft. Thomas, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl and her brother Roy Tillett. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Teena Devoto; son, Wayne Carrier; brothers, Ronald and George Tillett; grandsons, Chris, Connor, Brennan, and great-grandsons, Dylan, Dustin, Drew. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 11:00 AM - 12:45 PM with a brief prayer service at 12:45 PM.

Marie Bush

Marie Bush Stamper, 88, lived in Newport, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Saint Elizabeth Hospice Fort Thomas. She was a retired employee of Queen City Dinette. Daughter of Joe and Hester Bush, Marie grew up in Breathitt County Kentucky. Her parents, Joe and Hester Bush preceded her in death.  Her son, Glen Stamper, preceded her in death in 1970.  Marie is survived by 2 daughters, Norma Jean Stamper of Newport and Ann McIntosh of Cold Spring, 3 sons, Thurlin Rue Roberts of Ft. Thomas, Donald (Sandy) Bush of Indiana & Elden Jr.(Nancy) Roberts of Burlington.  Her sister, Edna Griffith, and brother, Estill Bush reside in Breathitt County Kentucky. She had 12 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, Kentucky with funeral services 1:00 PM. Daisy Boden

Daisy Boden, 75, of New Albany, IN, formerly of Alexandria, KY, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital New Albany, IN. Mrs. Boden was born on September 14, 1936, in Venice, Florida, to the late Floyd Whidden and Janie (Carver) Whidden.  She was married 51 years to the late Edward Boden of Cold Springs, Kentucky.  Life led them to Cleveland, Georgia in 1979 where they raised three children; then to Alexandria, Kentucky for their retirement; after her husband’s death, she relocated to New Albany, Indiana.  She was a retired department manager for WALMART in Alexandria, KY.

Mrs. Boden is survived by her son Andrew Boden and his wife Nan of Altadena, California; son Raymond Boden of Los Angeles, California; daughter Christina Boden Williams and her husband Matthew of Jeffersonville, Indiana; and five grandsons. Visitation 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012, with funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home Alexandria, KY. James Robert Keeler



James Robert Keeler, 86, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his home in Chattanooga, TN. Formerly of Fort Thomas, KY. He was a retired Engineering Supervisor for WKRC TV in Cincinnati, OH, a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, Past President of Fort Thomas Optimist Club & Past President of Highlands Band Association. His work with WKRC, took him from their very first broadcast in April 1949 to switching WKRC-TV's first live program, The Skipper Ryle Show & in June of 2009 he was honored to flip the switch from analog tv to digital tv. He was also a member of Local #1224 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers as well as a certified member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Schnitzler Keeler, a daughter, Terri Hundermer, two sons, Rob & Tim Keeler, step daughter, Barbara Brinkmann, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren & 2 step grandsons. A Memorial Visitation 2:00 PM -5:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2012, with a Memorial Service at 5:00 PM, at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St. Alexandria, KY. Mary Ellen (Ziegler) Buchheit, 92, of Fort Thomas, KY. Born - February 24, 1920  died - June 1, 2012 she was a member of St. Mary Seniors, St. Stephens Mothers Club, St. Ann's Auxiliary. She also volunteered at Veterans Hospital in Ft. Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and daughter Ruth Zeis. Mary is survived by her son, Joe (Pam) Buchheit; daughters, Elaine (Jerry) Makin, Janet (Ray) Hildebrand, Jean (Jim) Fry, Jane (Matt) Scharstein; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Alexandria, KY with the Mass of Christian burial following.
