Richard "Bill" Racke

Richard “Bill” Racke, 70, of Alexandria, KY, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Mt. Washington Care Center, Mt. Washington, OH. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart Recipient. Bill was a retired over the road truck driver for Yellow Roadway. He is survived by his loving wife of (49 years), Helen “Vickie" Racke (nee Waag); daughter, Linda (Jason) Stull; father, William Philip Racke; brother, Michael Racke; three sisters: Juanita Racke, Barbara Racke, Annie Bruce; granddaughter, Tamara.   Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Bruce (nee Clark) and a brother John Philip Racke. George William Sederberg


George William Sederberg, 84, formerly of Alexandria, KY, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the River Valley Nursing Home, Butler, KY. George was a retired employee of Cincinnati Milacron and also served in the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Jane Sederberg (nee Furio). George is survived by his second wife, Patricia Sederberg (nee Vieson); children: Vicki (Dale) Schmidt, Holly (Greg) Hamilton, Julie (Jay) Braun, Mark (Tanda) Heiert, and Greg (Lisa) Heiert; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Violet Elaine Eads

Violet Elaine Eads (nee Cummins), 74, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018 at her home in Alexandria, KY. Violet was retired and previously worked for Woolworth’s, Basic Trust and Meijer. She was preceded in death by her partner, Leroy Daley. She is survived by her loyal companion, Oreo, and her children: Tammy Eads, Kenneth Eads Jr., Jennifer (Scott) Albrecht and Pamela Miller; ex-husband, Kenneth Eads Sr. siblings: Barbara (Walter) Peters, Gloria Weber, Carol Gillespie, Joan Class, and Roger (Sonda) Cummins; grandchildren: William, Erin, Sara, Eric, Jacob, Isaiah, and JT; great-grandson, Ethan. Richard "Dick" Pichotta

Richard “Dick” Pichotta, 68, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at home. Dick was known at work, Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing, as “The Chief Painter”. He was a member of IUPAT DC-6 Mixed Trades Local # 238 and Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish. Dick also served in the Army Reserve. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pichotta (nee Enzweiler); three daughters: Laura (Dan) Berkemeyer, Karen (Joe) Kilburn and Kelly Pichotta; four siblings: James Pichotta, Gail Connley, Jeanette (Don) Conway, and Patty (Steve) Scharstein; eight grandchildren, Julia, Tabatha, Drew, Deena, Evan, Haley, Madeline, and Bella. He was preceded in death by his son, Rick Pichotta; parents, Martin and Juanita (nee Lannum) Pichotta; four siblings, June Lauer, Bobby Garman, Clarence “Pee Wee” Garman, and William Garman. Visitation Monday, April 2, 2018 at Saint Mary Church, 8246 E Main St, Alexandria, KY 41001 from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Saint Mary Cemetery, Alexandria, KY. Paul Richard Jolly

     Paul Richard Jolly passed away from heart failure on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas, KY. Paul was born on June 9, 1951 to Gordon B. Jolly (deceased) and Norma Lee (Cann) Jolly who survives. He is also survived by one sister Linda Lee Jolly and sister-in-law Diana M. Vogt. Paul was raised in a large family of close aunts, uncles and cousins and had several friends that he loved dearly. During the past year Paul began a new relationship with his biological daughter Jasmine Irvin and her family.
     A 1969 graduate of Campbell County High School, Paul studied music at Morehead State University. Jolly played clarinet and bagpipes in the Campbell County High Band, but his life-long musical career began in earnest when he picked up his first guitar at age fourteen. Jolly became a popular entertainer in the Cincinnati area during the 1970s. In the mid-1990s he, along with his then-wife Beverly Tiemeyer Jolly, established the CMA, Children’s Music Association in Blue Ash. This was an innovative studio that engaged children in music using keyboards and computers.
     Throughout his life Paul held several jobs, including sales and store management for the Willis Music Company. Jolly’s passion was his music. As a singer/songwriter he self-produced one CD of his original music. A few of his songs are posted on the Reverb Nation website. In spite of the health challenges of recent years, Jolly continued to perform occasionally in Northern Kentucky and to encourage community among other musicians by hosting open-mic nights.
     A memorial service will be held in Northern Kentucky on June 9, 2018 at a location to be announced.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, or just give your next waitress a really big tip as Paul would have done.

Martha M. Steffen

Martha M. Steffen (nee Geiger), age 89, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Seasons of Alexandria. Martha loved being a homemaker and was a former housekeeper for Lakeside Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary Church, Alexandria, KY and the Senior Citizen’s Club. Martha also enjoyed playing cards and going to Bingo and she loved to win. She was preceded in death by her son, David A. Steffen and her granddaughter, Christy Mulberry. She is survived by her children, Sue Woeste (Garry), Rose Ann Steffen (Steve), Judy Griffith (Harold), Mary Lauer (Leroy), Margaret Griffith (Tony), and Donald Steffen (Marylu); 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Church, Alexandria, KY on Friday, March 23rd at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.  Memorial donations are suggested to: St. Mary Church, 8246 E. Main Street, Alexandria, KY 41001. Helen G. Schultz


Helen G. Schultz (nee True), 72, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Thursday at home. Helen was a hairdresser and had her own salon, Beauty Barn and she previously worked at EJ’s. Helen was a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish, Alexandria, KY and Campbell County Seniors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Mabel (nee Hubb) True, two sisters, Susan Haynes and Marilyn Neil, two brothers, Bob and Michael True. Helen is survived by her husband of 27 years, Allan Schultz; two daughters, Stephanie (Joe) Zink and Kimberly Falhbush; three sisters, Phyllis Joseph, Barbara True and Melinda (Richard) Tate; two brothers, Thomas (Roxanne) True and Jack True; six grandchildren, Jonathan Zink, Summer Zink, Jazmyn Fahlbush, Julia Fahlbush, Jensen Fahlbush and Jakob Fahlbush. Melvin C. Boden

Melvin C. Boden, 86, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas. Melvin was a General Contractor (Boden Builders Inc.). A member of Alexandria United Methodist Church, Alexandria, KY, where he liked doing things around the Church with a couple other guys and they were lovingly called the "Three Grumpy Old Men". He served in the USAF with the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. He loved woodworking and crafts which he donated and gave to friends and family. He was a big UK basketball fan. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Thelma M. Boden (nee Benedict); two sons, David Allen Boden and Rick James Boden (Peggy Marie); four grandchildren, Nathan James Boden, Seth Allen Boden, Emily Marie Boden and Dr. Sarah Ashley Boden. Services were at the convenience of the family. Entombment was in the Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum, Southgate, KY. Mavin A. Record

Marvin A. Record, age 74, of California, KY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his residence. Marvin was a graduate of Pendleton County High School Class of 1962. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and served during Vietnam. After his service in the Army his military pride continued on as an active member of the Campbell County VFW Post 3205 and the American Legion Post 219. He retired from Cincinnati Bell after 37 years of employment. Marvin was also an active member of the Campbell Co. Historical Society, Pendleton Co. Historical Society, and Sts. Peter and Paul Parish.  He was the former Chief for the Northern Pendleton Volunteer Fire Department, a bus driver for Bishop Brossart High School, and also volunteered for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Marvin is survived by his wife, Angela “Ann” (nee Gerhardstein) Record; mother, Martha Ann (nee Massey) Record; children, Andrea Record (William Chenot), Larry Record (Becky), Edwin Record (Tina), Rebecca Phirman (Ryan), Sarah Wyrick (Clint), Daniel Record (Lisa), Adam Record (Katie Riley), Joannah Bauer (Jeremy), and Benjamin Record (Lauren); siblings, Sanford Record (Harriet), Steve Record (Carol), Elaine Kunz (Kenn), and Lee Record (Michelle); also survived by 22 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16th at the Sts. Peter & Paul Social Center from 5pm to 9pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 17th at Sts. Peter & Paul Church at 10am. Mary Linda Hervey Goebel

Mary Linda Hervey Goebel (nee Erisman), 92, Mentor, KY , passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler, KY. Mary Linda was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Mentor Baptist Church, Mentor, KY and was the pianist for 60+ years. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Henry J. Hervey and J.V. Goebel and her parents, Thomas W. and Anna Ruth (nee Jordan) Erisman. Mary Linda is survived by three children, Tom (Connie) Hervey, Linda (late Bob) Young and Ruth (Ray Cummins) Hervey; one sister, JoAnn Moore; six grandchildren, Travis Hervey, Nic (Laura) Hervey, Paul (Stephanie) McCormick, Aaron (Karen) McCormick, Jonathan (Sara) Goebel and Jeremy (Emily) Goebel; also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren. Deborah J. Stegeman

Deb Stegeman (nee Heringer), age 66, passed away peacefully at Christ Hospital March 1, 2018. Deb was a nurse for 43 years at St. Luke\St. Elizabeth Hospital Fort Thomas. Deb is survived by husband, Thomas Stegeman; sons, Ryan Stormer and Adam Stegeman; daughter, Hollie Johnson; brothers, Wayne and Jerry Heringer; also by 7.9 grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service for Deb at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Main Street Baptist Church, 11093 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001, followed by a reception.
