William "Bill" T. Reiley

William “Bill” T. Reiley, age 76, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.  He was a retired School Administrator for Dayton Independent Schools and a member of the Campbell County Retired Teachers Association.  Bill will be remembered as a kind and gentle man who loved to spend time with his family, especially his three grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Yelton Reiley; daughter, Suzanne (Bob) Augspurger; son, Will (Kathy) Reiley; grandchildren, Rob Augspurger, Henry and Vivian Reiley.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment to follow in the Alexandria Cemetery.  Memorial Donations are suggested to: Main Street Baptist Church Care Mission, 11093 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001.

Thomas Leo Carmack

Thomas Leo Carmack, age 72, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas. Tom was a retired Rural Route Carrier for the Alexandria Post Office. He also worked for the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office as a vehicle inspector. Tom was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Marie (Tarvin) Carmack. Tom is survived by his son, Kevin (Kim) Carmack; siblings, Bob (Joyce) Carmack, Marla (Daryl) Michael and Glenda Carmack; dear friends, Jeannie Carmack and Donna Carmack. Step daughter, Nikki Schweitzer; grandchildren, Konner, Kole, Karyssa, Holly and Bret; two great grandchildren, Aden and Colton. Visitation Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Alexandria Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery.

Ronella C. Fox

Ronella “Nell” C. Fox (nee Ortlieb) 86, of Crestview Hills, KY, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. She was a homemaker. Nell was a volunteer at Saint Elizabeth Hospital for 19 years, during this time she accumulated the most hours of all the volunteers. She was a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish, Alexandria, KY. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Tess Ortlieb; husband, Nelson Fox; daughter, Cynthia Miller. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Gary) Reimer, Kenneth Fox, Patricia (Brian) Bergeron, Pamela (Steve) Powell and Jacqueline (Jim) Farr; sister, Katherine Sizemore; son-in-law, Bob Miller; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Saint Mary Church, Alexandria, KY from 9:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Shannon Jo Underwood

Shannon Jo Underwood, age 46, was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Brenda Underwood. Born June 30, 1970 in Fort Thomas, KY. Shannon was a graduate of Campbell County High School class of 1989. Shannon dedicated her life to caring for children and worked in child care from a very young age. Shannon was preceded in death by her two grandmothers, Goldie Underwood and Pearl King and her mother, Brenda Underwood. She is survived by her father, Jo, her sister, Candice (James) Pape and two nieces, Sierra and Hailey Pape. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your choice of breast cancer awareness, animal rescue or early education charities. Johnny H. Jones

Johnny H. Jones, age 68, of California, KY passed away on March 12, 2017 in Jacksboro, TX. Johnny served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the American Legion, Louisville, KY.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Barbara A. Jones. Johnny is survived by his children, Johnny (Erica) Jones, Kathleen (Eric Painter) Fischer, and Tammy (Wade) Hubbard; eight grandchildren, Cheyenne, Chelsey, Cailey, and Caitlyn Jones, James (Amber) Humphrey III, Matthew and Jonathon Fischer, and Danielle Hubbard; four great-grandchildren, Haiden and Paityn Jones, James Humphrey IV, and Eiden Garera. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 8:00am to 10:00am with the Funeral Service immediately following at 10:00am at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Rosella C. Lauer, 95, of California, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport, KY. Rosella was a homemaker, a lifelong member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church and Sts. Peter & Paul Seniors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lauer; parents, William & Magdalena (nee Seiter) Geiger, siblings, Wilbur Geiger, Marcella Herzog, Clotilda Wetzel, Roberta Lauer and Cletus Geiger; daughter-in-law, Lois Lauer. Margerie Adams

Margerie Ann Adams (nee Vandenburg), age 89, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Cold Spring Transitional Care Center.  She was a retired clerical worker for the IRS and a member of Main Street Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Marie Adams. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Everett Adams; children, Gerritt Adams, Leslie (Michael) Massey, Dr. David (Patty) Adams, and Mathew Adams; sister, Beth Anderson; grandchildren, Timothy Adams, Rebecca Adams, and Jonathan Massey.  A Memorial Visitation will held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm with a Memorial Service immediately following at 5:30pm. Ray Strong


Ray Strong, age 96, of Highland Heights, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Ft. Thomas.  Ray served in the Navy during WWII and was a retired inspector for General Motors.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Strong (nee Little); two sons, Sammy (Carol) Strong and Bobby (Lillie) Strong.  He is survived by his children, Kathy (late Ron) Hogle, Clara (Rick) Steinmetz, Mille (Tom) Gindele, Larry (Rebecca) Strong; siblings, Charles, Sam, Oren, Patty, Jenny, Delores, and Gerald; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 9am until the time of service at 11am at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Robert J. Wolfe

Robert J. Wolfe, 92, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017 at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas. Robert was a retired accountant for General Motors, Norwood, OH. He was WWII Army Veteran. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Mae Wolfe (nee Napier). He is survived by two children, Robert Wolfe and Diane (Jeff) Strassell; Loving grandfather of 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great- great granddaughter. Visitation Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Alexandria Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until time of service at 7:00 PM. Entombment will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. 

Kenneth G. Walters

Kenneth Grant Walters, age 87, of Cold Spring, KY passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 at the Clermont Nursing Care Center, Milford, OH. Kenneth was a retired plant supervisor for the Palm Beach Company of Newport, KY. He was a former member of the Campbell County Planning & Zoning Board, Campbell County Jaycees and was a real estate agent for Huff Realty. Kenneth was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Opal Walters (nee Buckler); two daughters, Kim (Mark) Steffen and Lisa Fite; 6 grandchildren, Grant Fite, Amanda Steffen Hardy, Nick Fite, Abby Steffen, Makayla Fite and Hailey Fite.; also survived by 6 great grandchildren. Visitation Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Grand View Cemetery, Mentor, KY.

Christine Cropper

Christine Cropper (nee Thompson), age 91, formerly of Wilder, KY passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her residence, The Barrington of Ft. Thomas. She was the daughter of the late Harry and late Anna Mae (nee Gill) Thompson of Morgan, KY. Christine was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress.  She was also an active member of Asbury United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Oscar Cropper; brothers, Hubert, Ralph, and Hope Thompson; sisters, Edith Sexton, Hildreth Gott, and Mildred Hubbard; grandchildren, Alicia and Ryan Colvin.  She is survived by her children, Marcia (Roger) Colvin, Dana (BJ) Ariapad, and William Jeffrey Cropper; sister, Dolly Jean Thompson; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Tuesday, March 7th from 10:00am to 10:45am at the Asbury United Methodist Church with the Funeral Service following at 11:00am.  Interment to follow at the Alexandria Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to: Hospice of the Bluegrass or Asbury United Methodist Church.
