Ray Strong, age 96, of Highland Heights, KY passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Carmel Manor Nursing Home in Ft. Thomas. Ray served in the Navy during WWII and was a retired inspector for General Motors. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Strong (nee Little); two sons, Sammy (Carol) Strong and Bobby (Lillie) Strong. He is survived by his children, Kathy (late Ron) Hogle, Clara (Rick) Steinmetz, Mille (Tom) Gindele, Larry (Rebecca) Strong; siblings, Charles, Sam, Oren, Patty, Jenny, Delores, and Gerald; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 9am until the time of service at 11am at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorial Donations are suggested to: Hospice of the Bluegrass or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
