Robert "Bob" L. Franzen

Robert “Bob” L. Franzen, age 90, of Melbourne, KY passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas.  Mr. Franzen was a WWII Army veteran and a retired Labor Foreman for C&O Railroad.  He was a member of St. Joseph Church Camp Springs, Campbell County V.F.W. #3205, American Legion #219, and served as a Financial Officer for 35 yrs with the Catholic Order of Foresters Court #1725. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66yrs, Alberta Franzen in 2014, and his great-grandson, Cory Richardson.  He is survived by his son, Steven (Cindy) Franzen; sister, Glorianna Heck; three granddaughters, Sherri Runyan, Dawn Hardy, and Rachael Klapheke; one grandson, Justin Franzen; seven great-grandchildren, Collin, Sierra, Sam, Kali, Jami, Courteney, and  Barrett. Visitation will be at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Sunday, January 24, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph Church Camp Springs on Monday, January 25, 2016 beginning at 10am. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Camp Springs.  Memorials are suggested to: St. Joseph Church, 6883 Four Mile Rd, Camp Springs, KY 41059 or  Campbell County VFW Post #3205, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001 or American Legion Post #219, PO Box 219, Alexandria, KY 41001.

Linda Ann Willoughby

Linda Ann Willoughby (nee Chezem), 68, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016. Linda was a retired law clerk for Dinsmore & Shohl of Cincinnati, OH. She is survived by her husband, Richard Willoughby; daughter, Michelle Willoughby (Jesse Salang); two sisters, Laura Haven and Lisa Spurlock; brother, Larry Chezem. Memorial visitation 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Dorothy May Calvin

Dorothy May Calvin, 93, formerly of Alexandria and Covington, KY, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at the Burlington House Nursing Home, Cincinnati, Ohio. Dorothy was a former waitress at the Betsy Ann Restaurant in Alexandria, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Calvin. Dorothy is survived by her children, Barb (Lonnie) Malone, Sandy Calvin, Jim (Mae) Calvin and Joe (Glenna) Calvin; also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great- grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY.
