Wanda Stidham Hoskins


Wanda Stidham Hoskins, 79, of California, KY, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was a retired employee of Disabled American Veterans, Cold Spring and  Float High, Alexandria, KY. Wanda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Seldon Hoskins; two daughters, Terry (Jim)  Krift and Deborah (Randy) Begley; 3 grandchildren, Kristal, Brian and Ashley; one great-grandson, Noah; three sisters, Ruby Arnie, Joyce Pickard and Ann King. Visitation 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Funeral services 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mount Gilead Cemetery, Carthage, KY.

Michael "Tim" Johnson

Michael "Tim" Johnson, 59, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. He was an accountant, small business owner and AFLAC representative.  He was very involved in the youth sports community, serving as a director and coach in the Campbell County Junior Basketball League and the Campbell County Girls Softball League.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth O. Johnson. He is survived by 3 daughters, Lori O'Connor of White Bear Lake, MN, Denise Johnson of New Orleans, LA and Melissa Kennard of Amelia, OH; 2 sisters, Kathy Meyer of Southgate, KY and Lynne Redick of Springfield, IL; 2 granddaughters, Olivia Kennard, and Kaia O'Connor; . Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery, Alexandria, KY.

Barbara Ballou Augsback

Barbara Ballou Augsback, 80, of Highland Heights, passed away on January 9, 2014. She was a long time Educator in the Campbell County Schools. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 61 years, Don; Children, Tom and Donna Carlisle, Michael and Donna Augsback, and John and Kirsten Augsback. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Visitation at the convenience of the family. Memorials to: Hospice of the Bluegrass.

Ruby Smith

Ruby Smith, 89, of Fort Thomas, passed away on  January 9, 2014. She was a member of Main St. Baptist Church and the owner of The Alamo Restaurant.  Ruby was preceded by her husband Elmer (05). She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Miller and Jan Geiman; son, Gordon Smith; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
