Louis G. Alford, 87, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013 at the VA Fort Thomas, KY. He was the retired owner of Alford Roofing of Cold Spring, KY. He was a WWII Navy Veteran. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen A. Alford; 3 daughters, Barbara Alford, Cheryl (Jerry) Herrmann and Beth Alford; 3 sons, Larry W. (Melanie) Alford, Scott A. Alford and Kurt L. (Cyndy) Alford; 4 sisters, Dorothy Fuller, Alice Fuller, Sue Daniels and Sandy Clift; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Dr. Calvin Perry Community Center, 8236 West Main Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, 11:00 AM at the Dr. Calvin Perry Community Center, with Bill Denk And Loren Spellman, officiating. Interment in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY. Memorials can be made to the American Legion Post #219, 8261 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001. Rosemary "Mickey" Henderson, 88, of California, KY., passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 Saint Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood, KY. Mickey met her husband, the late Morgan "Bud" Henderson 65 years ago on February 13, 1948 . She was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Campbell County VFW Post #3205 of Alexandria, KY, Saint Joseph Parish Camp Springs, KY and a former member of the Happy 100's. Bernice Marie (nee Klein) Schabell , 88 of Alexandria, passed away on February 12, 2013 at her residence. Bernice was a homemaker and also retired from Cincinnati Bell. Graduate of Newport High School. Member of St. Mary Church and St. Mary Seniors, Alexandria. Bernice was born on November 1, 1924 in Newport, KY. to Elmer Klein and Marie Schwerman Klein. Bernice was preceded in death by her daughter Christine McGrath. Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph E. Schabell, 2 sons - David Schabell of Cold Spring, KY,and Mark (Joni) Schabell of Cold Spring, KY; 2 daughters - Ann (Chuck) Sandfoss of Cold Spring, KY, and Kay (Wayne) Kremer of Alexandria, KY; son-in-law - Tim McGrath of Cold Spring, KY; sister - Betty Schabell of California, KY; Also 14 Loving Grandchildren, and 21 Great Grandchildren. Dorothy Scheben Sherman , 85, of Cold Spring, passed away on February 7, 2013 at Salem Woods, Cincinnati, OH. Dorothy was a sales lady for Avon Products in the South Newport & Fort Thomas area for 45 years but she was more than a salesperson to her customers she was a friend, when someone needed help she was there for them, helping with household chores to providing food or baking pies when they were sick. Dorothy was preceded in death by two daughters, Carol Ann Scott and Joan Beckwith. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Krift of Cold Spring, KY; son, Ronald Scott of Alexandria, KY; brother, Lambert Scheben of Newport, KY; 3 granddaughters - Vicki Lynn Yung, Amanda Beckwith, Ashley Mason; grandson - Jason West; five great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, Kentucky.

Harry F. Vossmeyer , 81, formerly of Fort Thomas, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Rosedale Green in Latonia, KY. He was a retired supervisor with Cincinnati Bell & a marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. Harry loved to play golf & was a former member of A J Jolly Golf Course in Alexandria, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Borden Vossmeyer. Harry is survived by a daughter, Karen Hensley Groeschen of Independence, KY; son, David Vossmeyer of FL; 3 granddaughters, Kristin (Skip) Closson, Valerie (Chaz) Goetz & Heather (Thomas) Adams; sister, Marval Wolfe of Redding, CA; brother, Tom Vossmeyer of Erlanger, KY; 2 great-grandchildren, Spencer Closson & Trey Adams.
