F. Steelman, 79, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 at
his home. Lowell was a retired superintendent for Fischer Special Manufacturing
in Cold Spring, KY. Lowell is survived by his wife, Paula Steelman; daughter, Stephanie
(Paul) Duncan; granddaughter, Taylor Duncan; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation 10:00 Am – 1:00 PM Saturday, October 4, 2014 with funeral services

Helen
Mae Govan (nee Burns), 79, of California, KY, passed away Thursday, September
25, 2014 , at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas. She was a homemaker and a member of
the Immanuel Baptist Church, Cold Spring. Helen was preceded in death by her
husband of 56 years, John Govan “2008”. Helen is survived by her children, Mary
Jo Govan, Patty (Jeryl) Smith, John (Nora) Govan, Steve (Linda) Govan and Jerry
(Cindy) Govan; sisters, Delores Oliver and Karen Stabler; 11 grandchildren, 15
great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Visitation 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

John David "Dave" Obel
John David Dave Obel, 63, of Cold Spring, KY,
passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014, in Edgewood, KY. He was preceded in
death by his parents, John and Virginia Obel. He is survived by his wife of 35
years, Shirley Bryan Obel; his brother, Mike (Joy) Obel, sister, Billie Jeanne
Obel and her children, Matt and Krissi. Dave loved golfing, hunting, UK sports,
Reds baseball and coaching basketball at Calvary Christian and Campbell County
High Schools. He was a member of the Sports Hall of Fame at Simon Kenton High
School where he lettered in all sports. Dave was Basketball Player of the Year
in 1969 in the Ninth Region. He was also drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dave played professional softball for the Cincinnati Rivermen. Dave touched the
lives of many during his employment as a Funeral Director for Dobbling, Muehlenkamp
and Erschell Funeral Homes. Dave was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM 8:00 PM Friday, September 26, 2014 at
the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St. Alexandria, KY. Funeral services
will be held on Saturday, September 27 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 4410

Elizabeth "Libby" Osborne
Elizabeth
"Libby" Ann (LaBarre) Osborne, daughter of Nester and Glada LaBarre,
passed away in her home early Monday morning. She was 75 years old. She
rejoined her beloved husband of 50 years, William Derrol Osborne, who passed
away four years prior. She is survived by her sons, Jon and Jeffrey Osborne;
grandchildren, Rachael Kingery and Austin Osborne; great-granddaughter, Addison
Kingery; brother, Richard LaBarre; and many nieces and nephews. Libby's fire
burned bright and she is remembered for her warmth, outgoing nature and love of
life. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Education from Ohio University and
was a kindergarten teacher at Germantown Elementary in the early 1970's. For 12
years she owned and managed Salsa's Mexican Restaurant in Blue Ash, where she
never met a stranger. Libby also enjoyed golf, tennis, antique collecting and volunteering
for various charities. She was a busy and hardworking wife, mother and a friend
to all. A private interment will be held in her birthplace of Marietta, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Shriners Hospital, 3229 Burnet
Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Alexandria Funeral Home is serving the family.

Marianne Siegel (nee Herms), age 55, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Ft. Thomas, KY. Marianne’s faith was very important to her and she was formerly active with C.R.H.P, the Cursillo program and taught C.C.D classes and sign language at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alexandria, KY. She is preceded in death by her son, Troy Pauly. She is survived by her husband, Robert Siegel of Alexandria; parents, Tom and Aleen Herms of Alexandria; three sons, Eric Pauly of Highland Heights, Jason Pauly of Alexandria, Cory Pauly of Alexandria; two daughters, Cristi Morency and Kelli Pauly both of Alexandria; four step-children, Aaron and Bryan Siegel both of Louisville, Justin and Nicole Siegel both of Cleveland; sister, Nancy (Rick) Birkett of Cold Spring; four brothers, Tom (Linda) Herms of Alexandria, Tim Herms of Alexandria, Todd Herms of Newport and Tony (Jane) Herms of Alexandria; ten grandchildren, Chasiti, Kaden, Kolten, Kamden, Quentin, Faith, Tatiana, Neco, Nahje and Akira; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Verna Jane Deinlein, age 90, of Alexandria, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood, KY. She was a retired nurse aide and worshiped with the Alexandria Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Verna is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Deinlein and her son, John Deinlein. She is survived by her son, Mark (Darlene) Deinlein; daughter, Laura (Don) Iles; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Marian Irene Elam Ritter
Marian Irene
Elam Ritter (nee Elbert), 89, of Melbourne, KY, died on Sunday, September 7,
2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was a teacher at Silver Grove High School until her retirement in
1983. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of Camp Springs for 52 years. She
belonged to Silver Belles & Beaux of Silver Grove, Baker Hunt of Covington,
Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and was past president of Super Seniors
of Alexandria. Her first husband, Robert Elam, died in 1958. She married Arthur
Ritter in 1962 joining two young families. Arthur Ritter passed in 2007. She is
survived by 5 sons, Tom Ritter, Jim Elam, Craig Elam, Kent Elam and Joe Ritter;
2 daughters, Connie DeMarrero and Audrey Oldiges all of Camp Springs. Marian is
also survived 17 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Visitation 5:00 PM
- 8:00 PM Thursday at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Mass 10:00 AM Friday at
Saint Joseph Church, Camp Springs, KY. Interment will be in St. Stephen
Cemetery Ft. Thomas, KY. In lieu of

James T. Mountain
James
T. Mountain, 93, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 in Alexandria, KY. He
was owner/operator of his barber shop on Renshaw in Highland Heights, KY. Jim
was a graduate of Dayton High School and attended Xavier University and Villa
Madonna College (Thomas Moore College). He coached football at both Dayton and
Highlands High Schools for a span of 55 years. He won a Kentucky State Football
Championship in 1949 with Dayton and four State Football Championships with
Highlands. He is a member of the Northern Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame. Jim
served in WWII in the Navy as a torpedoman’s mate third class USN. His ship,
the USS Leary, was sunk on Christmas Eve 1943 in the North Atlantic. He was one
of 60 survivors. Born June 12, 1921, son of Edna and James Mountain. He was
preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise. He is survived by members of the
Robert Haunert, Raymond Haunert and Paula Steidle Cuthrell families. Visitation Monday, September 8, 2014 from 6:00
PM – 8:00PM with funeral services following at the Alexandria Funeral Home,

Jester) Nueslein, of Columbus, OH, formerly of Alexandria, KY, passed away
Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late John I
Nueslein. Devoted mother of Jackie Rowe, Jeana Sand (Bob), Joni Hoffmann (Ron);
dear sister of Millie Mergenthal, and the late William J. Jester and loving
grandmother of, Christopher and Ashley Rowe, Travis, Corry and Heidi Sand,
Jessica and Natalie Hoffmann. Family embodied her reason for living. Though
facing the daily challenges of a stroke survivor and of aging, she never wavered
from her love and devotion to her family. Ruth had the resilience beyond belief
to continue to live her life to the fullest. She will truly be missed and

Richard Dean McDaniel, age 51 of Burlington, KY passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Salyersville, KY. Mr. McDaniel was employed as a contract painter and business owner of Precision Painting in Burlington, KY. He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Hurd Strunk; son, Chaz McDaniel; and brothers, Donald and Phillip McDaniel. He is survived by his fiancé, Pamela Reinhardt; daughters, Desiree Viox, Kelly Neace and J Hatfield; sister, Kimberly Cooper; brothers, Chris Hughes and Patrick McDaniel; grandson, Greyson Nolan Hatfield. Frank C. Branch, age 94, of Amelia, OH passed away on September 2, 2014 at University Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Mr. Branch served in the Army during WWII, was a retired railroad engineer and a member of First Baptist Church of Amelia. He is survived by his loving spouse of 74yrs, Lucille Branch; two sisters, Lois Branch and Shirley Leggett; also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Amizetta
Neiser (nee Jenkins), 89, of Ft. Thomas, KY, formerly of Cold Spring, KY,
passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. From 1982 thru May of 2013 Amizetta
lived in Union, Missouri . She was a
retired registered nurse. She previously worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital,
Covington and Ft. Thomas Community Care Center (Veterans Home). After her
retirement, Mrs. Neiser became a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She
provided emergency assistance and disaster relief for the Beverly Hills Fire,
Hurricane Andrew in Homestead, FL, 911, and earthquakes in California and
Alaska. International volunteer work
included hurricanes in Guam and St.Croix .
For her volunteer work with the Red Cross, she was nominated to carry
the Olympic Torch in 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack
Neiser. She is survived by three sons Jack (Donna), Ronald (Donna) and Chris
Neiser; daughter, Robin (Art) Stout; sister, Margie Moher; brother, Walker
Jenkins; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation 5:00
PM – 7:00 PM Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Alexandria Funeral Home,
Alexandria, KY. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Joseph

Norman "Corkey" Brewer
Norman "Corkey" Brewer, age 64, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Hospice of Cincinnati East. Mr. Brewer served in the U.S. Marine Corps. and was a former employee of Bavarian Waste Services in Walton, KY. He will be remembered for being a hard worker who could learn how to do anything. It was often said that "He had not met anything he couldn't fix." Along with his strong work ethic, he was known as a man who was loyal to his friends and loved spending time with his grandsons. He is survived by his wife of 36yrs, Vera Brewer; four sons, Shawn Brewer, Charles Brewer, Shane Dellecave and Joseph Dellecave; three daughters, Hope Brewer, Bernice Reidmiller and Lisa Spencer; two brothers, Larry and Joe Brewer; sister, Rosa Brewer; seven grandchildren. Services are at the convenience of the family. Alexandria Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
