Louella Marie Huff (nee Baker), age 90, of Butler, KY passed away on November 29, 2014 at River Valley Nursing Home, Butler, KY. She is survived by her husband of 70yrs, William Alexander Huff; brother, John Baker; sister, Opal Parson; several nieces and nephews. Louella was a member of the Alexandria United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her rose bushes. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 12:00 pm at the Alexandria United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery. Douglas L. Perkins

Douglas L. Perkins, 57, of Dayton, KY, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was born on December 26, 1956. Doug was the son of the late Roy and Rita Perkins of Silver Grove, KY.  He was a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by two brothers, Allan (Janice) Perkins of Melbourne, KY and Gary (Mary Beth) Perkins of Cold Spring, KY; four sisters, Mary (Paul) Golden of Melbourne, KY, Glenna Perkins (Joe Calvin) of California, KY, Roita (Lee) Lemos of California, KY and Connie Staley of Bellevue, KY. Mayda G. Rogers, 90, of Erlanger, KY, passed away November 26, 2014 at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood. She was a retired sales clerk for Coppin’s Department Store and J. C. Penny. She is survived by two sons, George (Janet) Rogers Jr. and Kenneth (Janet) Rogers; two sisters Lena Rogers and Desta Hughes; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mary Kate Schweitzer

Mary Kate Schweitzer, 98, of Newport, KY passed away on November 17, 2014 at the Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport, KY. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of Highland Heights, KY. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carl Schweitzer. She is survived by her son, Jimmie Schweitzer; two daughters, Ruth Ann Scherling and Margie Book; brother, Elmer Keith; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014, 2:00 PM at the Asbury United Methodist Church, Highland Heights, KY.  A celebration of Mrs. Schweitzer's life will follow funeral service at church. Charles "Chuck" Lester

Charles “Chuck” Lester, 88, of Alexandria died November 23, 2014.   He was born in Irvington, NJ and is preceded in death by his parents Charles Lester and Marie Lester; and a granddaughter, Xiomara.  He is survived by his wife Margaret, of 61 years, 4 sons: Charles (Kathleen), Mark (Anne), Jeff (Jan), Chris (Sarah), 3 daughters: Margaret ¨Ree¨ Foltz (Dave), Julie Lester and Clare Luegering (John), 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Chuck worked for the Red Cross for many years and then for Glenmary Home Missioners.   He enjoyed playing jazz piano, running and spending time with his children and grandchildren.  For many years he was a member of the New Jerusalem Community at St. Bernard in Cincinnati. He was a WWII vet who served in the 13^th Air Force Division.  Visitation will be at St Mary of the Assumption Church in Alexandria from 11 am to 1 pm Friday, November 28, with Mass immediately afterward. Interment will follow at St Mary´s Cemetery, with a reception following in the undercroft of the church. Dennis Joseph Pelle

Dennis Joseph Pelle, 76, 0f Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. He was a retired employee of Thomson-MacConnell Cadillac, Cincinnati, OH. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, William and Georgia (Armstrong) Pelle and a brother, Donald Pelle. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Marie (Wimsatt) Pelle; two sons, Denny (Julie) Pelle and Ron (Teda) Stanton Pelle; four siblings, Billie Schultz, David, Doug and Damien Pelle; four grandchildren, Hilary, Chase, Peyton and Lexi Rae; followed by many nieces and nephews. Steve Strasinger, 52, of California, KY, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. He was a former printer for RR Donnelley, Nielsen Plant, Florence, KY. Steve was a member of Mentor Baptist Church, Creekside Social Riders and Fish Meeting at Pelle’s Cafe.  Steve is survived by two sons, Shane and Spencer Strasinger; step-daughter, Kacy Cierley; parents, Ronald “Bud” and JoAnn Strasinger; brother, Larry (Bev) Strasinger; two sisters, Lori (Dean) Chambers and Traci (Kevin) Nelson; partner for life, Cathy Jones; three nephews, Kyle, Jacob and Jamie; one niece, Kelsey. Visitation Sunday, November 16, 2014 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Edna L. Sauerwin, 99, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Highlandspring of Ft. Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Sauerwin, a daughter, Gloria Sauerwin and a son, Charles Sauerwin. Edna is survived by two daughters, Pat Gabelman and Linda Booth; 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Larry W. Stamper, 56, of Wilder, KY passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at Saint Elizabeth Fort Thomas.  Larry was a retired business owner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwenn Stamper and a sister, Deborah Byrd. He is survived by his children, Amanda (Chase) Stamper-Welch and Jeremy Stamper; granddaughter Alyssa Lee Benge; siblings, Peggy Hodges, Ronda Charles and Michael Stamper. Vera Louise Ritter, 89 of Camp Springs, KY, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Camp Springs Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Ritter, a daughter, Marilyn Ritter and a grandson, Zachary Heringer. Vera is survived by her children, Judy Ritter, Stan (Donna) Ritter, Jim (Teresa) Ritter, Connie (Mike) Glaser, Mary Jo (the late Dennis) Hug, Charlotte (Pat) Walsh, John (Kelly) Ritter, Paul (Barb) Ritter, Helen (Jerry) Heringer, Thelma (Brian) Donoghue, Carolyn (Larry) Linkugel, Kathy (Jim) Kramer and Linda (Tim) Comer; siblings, Rita Ruschman, Jeanette Kramer and Bob Wolfzorn; 34 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
