Mary Rita Parnell (nee Durkin), 74, of Cold Spring, KY (formerly of Alexandria, KY) passed peacefully at home in presence of family on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. She was a member of Saint Mary Parish and Senior Club, J-Club, Newport Elks Lodge # 273 Ladies Auxiliary, Alexandria Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dee Durkin and a brother, Jerry Durkin. She is survived by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Parnell of Cold Spring; daughters, Lisa (Russ) Thacker of Cold Spring and Lori (Todd) Sayers of Alexandria; grandson, Thomas Sayers; sister, Carol Miller of Crestview and several nieces and nephews. 64, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 in Ft. Thomas, KY.
He was a Vietnam Navy veteran, retired
welder and an auctioneer. He was also a member of the NKY Saddle Club and the
Campbell Co. VFW Post #3205. Bob is survived by his two sons Mark (Christi)
Wagner and E.J. (Julie) Wagner; seven grandchildren, Gabriella, Angelina, Mikaili,
Conner, Deven, Ashton and Charlie. Visitation will be held on Thursday,
February 26, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Mass of

Louise Gertrude Orzali (nee Tewes) “Weezer” 89, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. She was proud as having earned full ride academic scholarships to both; Villa Madonna High School, and Thomas More College always maintaining first honors. In H.S. she was a field hockey star and swimmer, and also worked on the original Tewes Poultry Farm on Charter Oak Road, Edgewood, KY on weekends and both before and after school as well. After graduation Louise was a teacher at Simon Kenton High School in Independence, KY, a substitute teacher at Beechwood High School of Ft Mitchell, and a private tutor. She and her late husband Peter were the original owners of Alexandria Drugs, established in 1956 where she worked as a clerk for many years. She was a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish, Alexandria, KY. She was Past President of Saint Mary Altar Society; the 1st President of St. Mary’s Mother’s Club which became the PTA. Louise served on many committees at this Catholic Parish for over 50 years such as Bingo, Festival, and Bereavement she also often ushered seating at Mass. She worked diligently with her husband Pete while he was the fund raising chairman of the Building Committee for the current church. She was a Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed Crocheting, Embroidery & Ceramics. She loved to do crossword puzzles and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and viewing professional sports especially the Cincinnati REDS. But above all she loved and was proud of family. Weezer was a true inspiration for many as well as her son and grandchildren, a fun loving, joking, yet hard working, smart, lady. Mrs. Orzali was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Orzali Sr.,R.Ph. her parents, John and Gertrude (Trenkamp) Tewes and siblings; Helen (Tewes) Kruer and John H. Tewes. Louise is survived by her son Peter J. (Rose) Orzali Jr., R.Ph.; three grandchildren, Joe (Casey Barnard) Orzali of Portland,OR, Mike (Alison Johnson) Orzali of Fort Wright, KY and Tina Orzali of Fort Wright, KY; four great-grandchildren, Gwyndolin, Rowan, Theodore and Francesca, as well as dozens of nieces and nephews. Osborne and a sister, Deanna Nelly. He is survived by his wife, Vonda Brashear
(nee Sparkman); mother, Mima Osborne; daughter, Rebecca Jo Brashear; son,
Dakota Dean Brashear; brother, Seth Dean Brashear; step mother, Kathy Brashear. James is also survived a host aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Margaret "Gayle" Lester
Margaret “Gayle” Lester, 87 of Alexandria, died February 1, 2015. She was born in Mora, NM to Frank and Josephine (Strong) Trambley. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Charles Lester; sister, Jeannine Martinez; and granddaughter, Xiomara Lester. Surviving her is a twin brother, Frank “Decky” Trambley; 4 sons: Charles (Kathleen), Mark (Anne), Jeff (Jan), Chris (Sarah); 3 daughters: Margaret Ree Foltz (Dave), Julie Lester and Clare Luegering (John); 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Margaret worked at Country Cousins Bakery in Alexandria, taught at Bishop Brossart H.S. and in the bookstore at NKU, where she retired after 15 years. She was an artist and enjoyed print-making, quilting and many other crafts. She loved to travel and to visit her family back in New Mexico.
Visitation will be at St Mary of the Assumption Church in Alexandria from 9 am to 12 pm Saturday, February 7, with Mass immediately afterward. Interment will follow at St Marys Cemetery, with a reception following in the undercroft of the church.
