Ruth Thorn
(nee Chalk), 94, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St.
Elizabeth Edgewood. Ruth was a retired employee of the former Kentucky
Enterprise and a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Alexandria, KY. Ruth
is survived by her daughters, Eileen Embry and Debbie Moellman; 7
grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Thorn Jr, daughter, Connie Hanson, parents,
George and Hilda Chalk and a brother, Earl Chalk. Visitation Saturday, July 1,
2017 at the Alexandria Funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of service at 3:00
PM. Interment will be in the Grand View Cemetery, Mentor, KY.

Charlotte
Jane Caster (nee Jourdan), 87, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 27,
2017 at home. Charlotte was a homemaker and a member of Melbourne United
Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Eugene) Fryman of
Melbourne, Carol Caldwell of Alexandria, Sandra (Steve) Smith of Alexandria and
William Caster of Melbourne; five grandchildren, Robert (Paula) Fryman of
Alexandria, Elizabeth (Ken) Holstein of Cold Spring, Kelly Caldwell, Nicole
Caldwell and Rachel Smith all of Alexandria; six great grandchildren; sister,
Linda Jourdan of Cold Spring. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband,
Eugene “Roland” Caster; parents, Albert and Lucille Jourdan; siblings, Wilma
Kincaid, Delores Shields, Don Jourdan, Jerry Jourdan, Doug Jourdan, Eddie

Thomas H. Moore
Thomas H. Moore, age 88, of Highland Heights, KY passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. Tom served in the Army during the Korean War and was a retired school teacher. He was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church in Melbourne, KY and an avid golfer. Tom is survived by his wife, Jean Moore; step-children, Connie Chamblin and Terry Stagman; 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the Funeral Service immediately following at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Lois Ann
Wilson (Twehues) 78 of Taylor Mill, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 26, 2017 after
courageously fighting a 9 year battle with ALS. She was a retired book keeper
with Noll & Noll Assoc. She was a member of St. Mary's Seniors, St.
Philip's Seniors, Catholic Order of Foresters and enjoyed playing cards with
her friends at Springhill Community and Pride Park. Lois is preceded in death
by her husband, Douglas Wilson Sr., son, Marc Wilson DMD, parents, Frank and
Anna Katherine Twehues and brother, Larry Twehues. She is survived by her
children, Douglas (Susan) Wilson Jr., Kim (Ray) Holthaus, Lisa (Michael) Burden
and daughter-in-law, Paige Wilson as well as 9 grandchildren, AJ, Sam and
Sophie Wilson, Kathryn and Elyse Wilson, Carly and Lindsey Holthaus, Allie and
Andria Burden. Also survived by her
siblings, Leroy (Sandy) Twehues, Jerry (Margaret) Twehues, Rich (Barb) Twehues
and Mary (Don) Twehues-Bishop. Visitation Friday June 30, 2017 9:00 am until time of Mass at 10:00 am at
St. Mary Catholic Church Alexandria, KY. Lois will be laid to rest at Evergreen
Mausoleum, Southgate, KY. In lieu of flowers we ask that memorials may be made
to the ALS Foundation or St. Elizabeth Hospice. A special thanks to the
caregiving angels that were truly "Heaven Sent" and her second family
at Springhill Community.
Timothy Wayne Fields
Timothy Wayne Fields, age 54, of Alexandria, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, June 26, 2017 after a long battle with ALS. He worked for Hillshire Brands and was a former dairy manager for Kroger. Tim was an avid hunter and talented musician who loved to collect guitars. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fields and his son, James Robert Fields. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Fields (nee Brown); daughter, Ashley Marie Fields; mother, Betty Jo Fields; brother, Eddie Fields; sister, Victoria Mershon; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Monday, July 3rd beginning at 10am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, KY. Benjamin "Ben" Franklin Harris
Benjamin “Ben” Franklin Harris, 79, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice Edgewood surrounded by his family. Ben served in the US Army, he was an elevator installer for 35 years with Dover Elevator and was a member of Immanuel Nazarene Church. Ben loved spending time with his family, especially the sporting events. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis I. Harris (nee Faulkner); 5 children, Sherry (Howard) Cooper, Benny (Nancy) Harris, Sandy (Tom) Whiles, David (Tina) Harris and Danny (Beloved Tena) Harris; sister, Gloria (John) Chrisman; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. 2017 at St. Elizabeth Edgewood. Doug was a US Army Ranger and veteran of the Vietnam
War and a retired truck driver for US Bulk. Doug is survived by his wife, Donna

Coldspring Transitional Care. Liz was a retired supervisor for the Internal
Revenue Service, Covington, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Noble; parents, Sewel and Maggie (Grigsby) Combs; one sister, Florence Combs;
three brothers, Ova, Hiram and Walter Combs. Liz is survived by two sons, Ted
(Barb) Noble and Dave (Deanna) Noble; two sisters, Helen Haddix and Ina Jones; three
brothers, Logan Paul, Jacob and Ben Combs; four grandchildren, Mary Noble, Teddy

Rita “Toni” Schweitzer (nee Bezold), 95, of Alexandria, KY,
passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at her home. Rita was owner of Roger
Schweitzer & Sons Inc. and a member of Saint Mary Parish in Alexandria, KY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Schweitzer in 2002. Rita is
survived by four sons, Gerald Clement (Connie) Schweitzer, Stephen (Diane)
Schweitzer, Roger Dale (Kathy) Schweitzer and Paul (Debbie) Schweitzer; four
siblings, Juanita Massaron, Howard, Eugene and Ray Bezold; nine grandchildren
and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Saint Mary of the
Assumption Church, Alexandria, from 12:30 PM - 2:15 PM Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Wilma Wessling
Wilma
Wessling of Alexandria, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jun 1, 2017,
at the age of 86. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Jack
Wessling, a son, Gary Allen (Anna) Wessling of Union, a daughter, Kathy Lynn
(Johnny) Bolton of Nicholasville, and grandchildren, Gwenyth Wessling and
Joshua Bolton, who have been the love of her life. She also leaves behind a
brother, David (Janet) Lewis of Milan, Indiana, a sister, Delma LaRue (Guy)
Langenbrunner of Cincinnati and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by a brother, Floyd (Jay) Lewis. Wilma graduated from Western Hills
High School and then worked as an executive secretary for the Central Trust
Bank. After marriage, she and her husband owned and operated the Reca Roller
Rink in Alexandria, and later the Blue Jay Appraisal Service. For many years
Wilma was a member Highland Avenue Baptist Tabernacle, 1080 Highland Avenue,
Fort Thomas. Visitation will be at the church from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, June 5.
Services will be held there at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, with Dr. Calvin
Perry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
