Rooney (nee Kremer) 86, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Friday, September 29,
2017 at Carmel Manor Nursing Home, Fort Thomas, KY. She was a tax examiner for
the Internal Revenue Service. Laverne was a member of Saint Joseph Church, Cold
Spring, Saint Mary’s Ladies Society and Saint Mary’s Senior. She was preceded
in death by her parents, Bernard and Josephine (Eisen) Kremer; her husband,
John Rooney; sister, Rosemary Dierig. She is survived by her children, Mary Jo
(Tim) O’Hara and Daniel (Joan) Rooney; siblings, Robert Kremer and JoAnn
Sheanshang; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday,
October 3, 2017 at Saint Joseph Church, Cold Spring from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00
AM. Interment will be in Saint Mary Cemetery, Alexandria. Alexandria Funeral

(Peggy) McCarter-Ohmer (nee Gosney), age 77, passed away at St. Elizabeth
Hospital Edgewood on Friday September 29, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Katherine &
Charles Gosney. She leaves behind her
children, Tami (Bob) Beatty, Todd (Sheri) Bitter and Scott (Tonya)
McCarter. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Benjamin F. “Benny”
Harris, 57 of Highland Heights, KY, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at
his home. He was a member of IBEW Local 212 of Cincinnati, OH. He served in the
Army. Benny is survived by his wife, Nancy Ann Harris (nee Kuddes); three sons,
Ryan (Darcie) Harris, Jared Harris and Zachary Harris; mother, Phyllis (Late
Benjamin) Harris (nee Faulkner); four siblings, Dave (Tina) Harris, Danny (Late
Tena) Harris, Sherry (Howard) Cooper and Sandy (Tom) Whiles; two grandsons, Rydar
and Maddox. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Alexandria

Nancy Gannon
Nancy Isabelle Gannon "Erwin", 84, of Fort Thomas, KY, went to be with the LORD on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Nancy was born January 2, 1933 in Macomb, IL to George Washington and Mary Gertrude "Parks" Erwin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Emmet Gannon, a daughter, Gail Gannon, her parents, and a brother, Jim Erwin. Nancy formerly lived in Peoria, IL and was an active member at El Vista Baptist Church in children ministries, sang in a trio and church choir. She was a homemaker, with a love for animals, birds, flowers, and had a gift for home decorating. In her younger years she worked as a Telephone Operator and in Market Research. Nancy is survived by three children, Gary (Cathey) Gannon, Greg (Tammy) Gannon and Gracia (Greg) Zink; she was a loving grandmother of eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at the Wilton Mortuary, 2101 N. Knoxville Avenue, Peoria, IL 61603 on Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 10:00 AM CST until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM CST. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens, 4601 W. War Memorial Dr., Peoria, IL. Tina
(Barker) Tarhouni, 41, of Cynthiana, Ky. passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from
complications of Diabetes and COPD. Tina was proceeded in death by her maternal
grandparents John C. and Edna Eckert of Melbourne, Ky and her both parents,
Donald Barker and Donna (Eckert) Barker. Tina was the youngest child of Donald
Barker and the only child of Donna Barker. Tina was also proceeded in death by
two uncles, Steve Eckert and Charles Daniel and her aunt, Sharon Daniel. Tina
leaves behind her uncle, John (Earlene) Eckert and her aunt, Robin
(Mark)McCann. Cousins, Cheryl (Ernest) Zornes, Holly McCann and Edward McCann
and numerous 2nd cousins. Arrangements are being taken care of by Alexandria
Funeral Home and services will be at the convenience of the family.

13, 2017 at her home. Lois was a retired cafeteria worker for Campbell County

(nee Tillett) Biddle, sister, Wilma Thurman and a niece, Rhonda Archibald. Lois

his home. Larry was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired performance
tech at East Bend Power Plant. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Paul
Diesel and an infant brother, Edward Paul Diesel. Larry is survived by his
wife, Ana Diesel; two children, Eldon and Angelene Zara Diesel; his mother,

Larry "Dave" Fillhardt
Larry
“David” Fillhardt, age 62, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Friday, September 1,
2017 at the VA Hospital Cincinnati, OH. Dave proudly served in the United
States Army, Special Forces and worked 30 years as a conductor for CSX
Railroad. Dave will always be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love
of hunting, fishing and his closeness with family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Dave is survived by his wife, Jeanie
Fillhardt (nee Fielders); three children, Davey (Amber) Fillhardt, Danny (Christie)
Fillhardt and Amy Lambdin; his mother, Dolores Fillhardt; four siblings, Kathy
(Daryl) Moore, Cherie (Ron) Black, Laurie (Tim) Flaherty and Kirt Fillhardt;
four grandchildren, Daren, Sydney, Luke and Hunter. A Memorial Visitation will

Charles Seldon Rowe
Charles Selden Rowe, age 88, of Cold Spring, Kentucky, passed
away peacefully at his home on September 1, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife
of 65 years, Joan, and his family. He
was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Alexandria, Kentucky. In his 50-year career,
he worked for several jewelers in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, designing
and hand-making custom jewelry for many clients and friends. He was a veteran who served during 1950-52 as
a reconnaissance tank driver during the Korean War, and often talked about his
friends and his time in the military. A
sports lover, Charles began coaching basketball and baseball in 1967 with the
Knights of Columbus Squires youth group and continued to coach well into his
70s with his softball team, “Charlie’s Gems.”
He remained friends with many of his former players throughout his lifetime.
He was a graduate of Newport Catholic High School, was a Kentucky Colonel, and mostly
an avid UK fan.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Mae and Selden
Rowe. Charles is survived by his beloved
wife, Joan (Scheibly) Rowe; his children Tom (Julie) Rowe; Terry (Jim)
Roessler; Judy See (fiancé Mike Caldwell); Jim (Sally) Rowe; Bob (Angie) Rowe;
14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Wednesday, September 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at
Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Mass of
Christian Burial is Thursday, September 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Parish, 8246
East Main Street, Alexandria, Kentucky. Burial to follow at St. Stephen
Cemetery, 1523 Alexandria Pike, Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
