Mr. Rogers and his wife were regular customers at the Bob Evans where I work as a waitress. It was always a treat to get to talk with him. He was so sweet; he always noticed when I missed a shift and was genuinely concerned about my well-being if I had been sick. He would ask about my family, and after I told him about my dad injuring his foot he asked me every time he saw me "How's your dad?" He told me about how hard it was for him to loose his son. He also told me about his daughter and how much he loved her hugs. He reminded me to hug my father often. And it was very evident that his love for his wife was deep and unwavering. He was a remarkable human being, and I am blessed to have known him.
