Walter Herbert Dennis Jr
Walter Herbert Dennis Jr., 83, of Silver Grove, passed away on April 27, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Silver Grove. Walter worked for CSX Railroad for 42 years and was a founding member of the Silver Grove Fire Department. Walter is survived by his loving spouse of 57 years Mary June, Daughters - Laura Dennis, Alice Harris, Joyce (Lloyd) Byrd, Sally Wilson; sons - Phillip (Cindy), Paul, and Peter Dennis; Sisters, Wilma McDonald and Marcheta Mort; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, 10:00 am at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Graveside service following at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Walter was a great and caring man who would do anything to help you. I remember when my son Josh got lost in the woods in Silver Grove, it was Walter who took time to help us search for him. Walter you will truly be missed by a lot of people and a community and church that is great indebted to him. Hate to see that he passed. But may God bless the family in their loss.
