James "Jim" Hartig

James “Jim” Allen Hartig, age 51, of California, KY passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Jim worked as a truck driver for Kemper Trucking and had previously served in the Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Hartig in 2010. Jim is survived by his mother, Carol Hartig; two sons, Dustin and Jacob Hartig; companion, Sheri Parks; brothers, Steve and Tom Hartig; sisters, Sharon Melville and Diana Gruner; grandson, Bryson Mocahbee. Jim also leaves behind a host of relatives and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at St. Philip Church, 1400 Mary Ingles Hwy. Melbourne, KY 41059. A reception will follow at the St. Philip Parish Center from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial donations are suggested to the James Hartig Memorial Fund, C/O PNC Bank.
