Helen
Reitman passed away at her home in Camp Springs, KY at the age of 86 on
November 26, 2015. She was surrounded by family. Helen was raised in
Alexandria, KY, the daughter of Joseph and Amelia Neiser. She was married to
the late Norbert Reitman and resided in Camp Springs the rest of her life. She
is survived by her son, Tim Reitman and daughter-in-law, Jane Reitman who live
in Michigan. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Randy Reitman passed
away in March of this year, and she is survived by her loving daughter-in-law
Frances Reis Reitman. Her brother was
the late Jack Neiser. She was the cherished grandmother to Courtney (Scott)
Reitman-Deinlein, Nicholas (Sarah) Reitman, Adam Reitman, Cory and Molly
Reitman (Michigan). She was great grandmother to Taylar and Mitchell Reitman
and Ethan Deinlein. She was a dear aunt to Mary Bernadette Oldiges and survived
by many nieces and nephews. Helen was a homemaker and previous co-owner of
Reitman Auto Parts. She was a volunteer for over 25 years in the gift shop at
St. Luke Hospital, now St. Elizabeth, and a founding member of The Ladies
Auxiliary of the Camp Springs Fire Department. She was a true friend to all
animals, a lover of dogs and her kindness to any stray animal that came to her
door was legendary. She was a lifetime bowler and enjoyed gardening and worked
to make her yard a park-like treasure to behold. She offered unconditional love
to all around her and will be missed by family and friends alike. Friends are
invited to gather with her family on Sunday November 29, from 2 to 5 pm at
Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St., Alexandria, KY. Mass of Christian
burial will be held at St. Joseph Church, Camp Springs, KY at 10 am on Monday,
November 30. Reception following at Camp Springs Fire Department. In lieu of
flowers the family requests donations to The Campbell County Animal Shelter or
the League For Animal Welfare.
