Jerry L.
Stone, 69, of Highland Heights, KY, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at
Saint Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY.
Jerry served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired economic
analyst for the Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C. and was a member of
Mentor Baptist Church, Mentor, KY. He was preceded in death by his father, Axel
W. Stone. Jerry is survived by his mother, Octa Jenkins; two sisters, Karen
Houston and Anita (Craig) Magnarini; a brother, Allen Stone and loving nieces
and nephews. Visitation Thursday, March 3,
2016 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral
Home. Interment will be in the Grand View Cemetery, Mentor, KY. Memorials can
be made to WCLF Foundation – Give Hope, 5641 Union Centre Drive, West Chester,

Jerry once told me he thought we were the most unlikely of friends and he was surprised we'd grown so close. He was right on one count: we were very, very different people - but I loved his honesty & his candor (I think this was mutual), and I delighted in his humor & his wit (and was was in total awe of his lightning-fast puns). Maybe the highest compliment anyone could ever wish for was Jerry's: I never met anyone who didn't like him. Never.
