John Joseph “Bert” Keating, age 81, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Mr. Keating worked as a Principal and Administrator for Covington Independent Schools for over 50yrs. He was a member of St. Mary Parish in Alexandria, St. Mary Seniors Club, and the KOC Fr. DeJaco Council #5220. John is survived by his wife of 57 yrs MaryAnn (nee Groneck) Keating; children, Kathy (John) McGee, John (Terri Hessling) Keating, Diane (Andy) Dischar, Patty Keating, and Jim Keating; sister, Ruth Helen Durstock; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Mary Parish, 8246 E. Main St., Alexandria, KY 41001.
