Beverly Dene Johnson (nee Thorn), age 55, of Alexandria, KY (formerly of Murray, KY) passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2016. Beverly was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Community Based Services in Covington, KY. She was a member of Summit Church of Christ, Cold Spring, KY. Beverly is survived by her husband and daughter, Barry and Megan Ann Johnson both of Alexandria, KY; her family from Murray, KY; sister-in-law, Brenda Thorn; cousins, Janeen Burkeen and Kathran Newsom; three nephews, Chris, Chad and Matt. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee Thorn and Wanza (nee Edwards) Thorn; brother, Joel “Bubba” Thorn. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm with Funeral Services immediately following at 7pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St., Alexandria, KY 41001. Harold J. Bree
Harold
Joseph Bree, 89, of Melbourne, KY passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his
home. Harold was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the Philippines and Okinawa
with the 96th Division “Deadeyes” 381st AT. He was a retired automobile
mechanic and car salesman having worked at Campbell County Chevrolet, Queen
City Chevrolet and Newport Dodge during his career. Harold retired in 1987 to
care for the 32 acre farm in Camp Springs that once belonged to his great
grandfather. He enjoyed hunting in the woods or tinkering with a car or lawn
mower to get it running just right. His retirement accomplishments included
rebuilding two log cabins, working on a variety of automobiles, that he bought
and fixed up and sold, and rebuilding a 1951 Chevrolet truck that he reassembled
from bushel baskets of parts. He lived and loved his family and the farm.
Harold was a member of Saint Joseph Parish Camp Springs and American Legion
Simon Gosney Post # 219.Harold is survived by his life partner and loving
friend, Patricia Herzog Phillips; sons, Ronald (Sue) Bree, Richard Bree, Gary
(Cathy) Bree and Gregory (Charlene) Bree; grandchildren, Christine and Grace
Bree, Adeline and Lola Ashinger; also survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Joseph B and Helen Wagner Bree; two wives, Bernadette Emark Bree and Ruth
Leising Knepfle Bree; brother, Robert Bree. Visitation Monday, May 2, 2016 at Saint Joseph
Church Camp Springs from 9:30 AM- 11:00 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at

Myron Ervin
Born, 56, of Melbourne, KY, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. Myron worked
for the United Postal Service for 32 years as a mail carrier at the Alexandria
Post Office. He was also with the
Campbell County Fire District # 1 for 40 years and was currently serving as Deputy
Chief and previously served as Chief of the Camp Springs Volunteer Fire
Department. Myron is survived by his wife, Donna Born (nee Dierig); son,
Zachary Born; his parents, Ervin and Margaret Born; a sister, Dee Dee (Marty)
Schubert; two brothers, Rodney (Bonnie) Born and Keith (Cindy) Born; mother-in-law,
Joan Dierig; brother-in-law, Greg (Jean) Dierig; nephews, Joshua Johnson, Ryan

Gunkel, 58, formerly of Alexandria, KY, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Saint
Elizabeth Edgewood. Ray was a chef at Summit Hills Country Club for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Ashcraft Gunkel; two daughters, Vanessa and
Samantha Gunkel; brother, Van (Linda) Gunkel; sister, Maxine Weber; niece, Brittany Gunkel; two nephews, Doug and

Wilda Mae Everman
Wilda Mae Everman (nee Alford), age 70, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at the Baptist Village in Erlanger. Wilda worked for the Northern KY Cooperative for Education Services for a number of years as a teacher’s aide. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Cold Spring where she was a W.M.U. and G.A. leader and Sunday School teacher. She was later a charter member of Christ Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. Wilda was also a member of the Tri-State Photography Club and was the co-host of Blue Hill and County Cross Roads, a PBS general interest program. She is survived by her husband, Larry Everman; two daughters, Colette (Sonny) Truett and Amanda (Doug) Cochran; one brother, Lawrence (Linda) Alford; six grandchildren, Tyler Roark, Scott Truett, Matthew Truett, Michael Truett, Nathan Truett, and Ava Cochran. Visitation will be held at the Christ Baptist Church, 3810 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM with the Funeral Service immediately following at 7:00 PM. Donna L. Bruener (nee Miller), age 74, of Foster, KY passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ft. Thomas. Donna was a member of St. Xavier Church in Falmouth, KY. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and watching her favorite television shows. Donald
Matthew “Matt” Stewart, age 55, of Melbourne, KY passed away on Saturday, April
16, 2016. Matt was preceded in death by his father, Homer Stewart. He is
survived by his wife of 26 years, Debra Ann Stewart; mother, Brenda Stewart; children,
Ashley and Myles Thetford; grandson, Ethan Nguyen; he also leaves behind a host
of family and friends. Matt was an Army Veteran. He was a member of The Bridge Community
Church and Bond-Slaves Motorcycle Club. He
was a true believer in Jesus Christ and will be remembered as a kind hearted
man who loved to help others. A
