John "Jack" Carter

John “Jack” Carter, 77, of Cold Spring, KY, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY. Jack was retired and previously worked for BASF and PMC chemical companies. He was a member of the United States Air Force during the Cuban Crisis and a member of the Silver Grove Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parent Cleve and Anna (nee Emmett) Carter; his first wife, Shirley Erskine; step son, Robert Erskine; step daughter, Sandra Newberry; brother, Tom Carter and an uncle, Jack Carter. Jack is survived by his wife, Donna Carter (nee Casson); two sons, Bradley (Laura) Carter and Lonnie (Judy) Carter; step daughter, Glenda Schadler; two step sons, David Braun and Daniel (Kendra) Braun; sister, Virginia (late Charles) Hines; nine grandchildren. Visitation 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Alexandria Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 AM Thursday at the funeral home. The interment with Military Honors will follow at the Oakland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Oakland Cemetery, 909 Kenton Station Road, Alexandria, KY 41001
