Gabrielle Jade Sprinkle, 22, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Gabrielle was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence Sprinkle. She is survived by her children, Jade and Draven Sprinkle. Her mother, Melinda Sprinkle; father, John Sprinkle; brother, Samuel Sprinkle; grandparents, Carol Sprinkle, Connie and Larry Mills and Carolyn and Larry Mann. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Alexandria Funeral Home from Noon until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials can be made at any PNC Bank to the Gabrielle Sprinkle Scholarship Fund which will benefit students studying in fields which deal with mental health and substance abuse.

Eleanor Ann Windgassen
Eleanor Ann Windgassen (nee Snyder), 77, of Alexandria, KY, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Ann was a member of St Paul’s United Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Roger Windgassen; two children, Amy (Rodney) Meyer and Dean (Sandy) Windgassen; brother, Allan Snyder; four grandchildren, Josie and Jocelyn Meyer and Trevor and Haley Windgassen. Visitation Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ from 3:00 PM until time of Funeral Service at 6:00PM. Graveside Service 11:00 AM Tuesday at the Alexandria Cemetery. George Shanks
George Shanks, voracious reader and renowned baritone, died June 13, 2018. He was a retired Machinist from Fischer Specialty Manufacturing and lifelong member of First Twelve Mile Baptist Church. An inscrutable man, those who thought they knew him, didn’t. Those who did know him, wished they knew him better. He was a lover of plants, animals and the occasional person. He is loved and missed by his wife, Frankie Avon (nee Painter); his children, Wyatt Ray and daughter-in-law Maria, Wendy Renee, Wayde Ryan and daughter-in-law Glenna C. Herald; his grandchildren, Travis and Laura Shanks, Kelly (nee Shanks) and Andy Hart, and Chris and Denise Shanks; and eight great-grandchildren. Services are at the convenience of the family. No visitation. Memorials are suggested to First Twelve Mile Baptist Church, 3288 Oneonta Rd. California, KY 41007. Alexandria Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
George Thomas Johnson, 67, of Butler, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at his home. George was a lab technician for TMK Ipsco Tubulars Inc, Wilder, KY. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte M. Johnson (nee Deters); son, Gregory (Janet) Johnson; step-son, James (Kelley) Heeger; grandson, Gauge Johnson; step-grandchildren, Tyler and Brooke Heeger. Florence (Seek) Kinney Edwards
Florence (Seek) Kinney Edwards, age 93, of Grant’s Lick, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and served as hostess for 30 plus years. She was an active member of the WMU and former treasurer. She was an honorary member of the Alexandria Fair board for many years. She was retired from Alexandria Elementary Cafeteria. She was also a homemaker and took great pride in her home and was an excellent cook. She was the devoted wife of William Edwards who preceded her in death in 2004. She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Martin with whom she lived since the passing of her husband, Pam (Danny) Cade and Sally (Bob) Reis; brother, Joseph Gordon (Oma Nell) Kinney; sister in law, Florence Kinney; 9 grandchildren, Melissa (Jerry) Laker, Billy (Kathy) Martin, Douglas ( Amanda ) Martin, Amy (Dan) Razor, Bryan (Christy) Cade, Joe ( Janie ) Reis, Elizabeth (Bill) Delaney, Jeffrey Reis and Rebecca (Phil) Geiman;18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; also surviving are many nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Ethel Hitch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Norma (Cropenbaker) Kinney; sister, Alma Fern Pollitt; brothers, Lawrence (Judge) Kinney and Harold (Hod) Kinney.
Visitation will be at Alexandria Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Sunday, June 17th. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church on Monday, June 18th. Final resting place will be at Alexandria Cemetery. Anthony David Romito
Anthony David Romito, 66, of Alexandria, KY, passed away quietly at home on Friday, June 8, 2018. Tony served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a retired teacher and taught in the Simon Kenton, Campbell County and NKCES Schools. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Romito (nee Caylor); children, Felix J. Romito and Angela Jaworski; sisters, Judy Schultz and Diane Walters; grandchildren, Austin and Elana. Judy Mitchell
Judy Mitchell (nee Mays), 65, of California, KY, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 10, 2018. Judy was preceded in death by her brother, James Dennis Mays. She is survived by her parents, Doris and Wilbur Moore; her husband and caretaker of 31 years, Jerry Mitchell; her brother, Finley (Donna) Moore; her children, Wayne (Sabrinia) Mitchell, Chris (Jami) Mitchell and Lori (Mark) Bay; grandchildren, Alli (Mason) Gibson, Hunter Bay, Josh Mitchell, Becca Mitchell, Kara Bay, Riley Mitchell, Nora Bay and Zoe Mitchell and her great grandson, Colton Gibson. Visitation 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday, June 15th, the Alexandria Funeral Home. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery, Carthage, KY.
