Raymond F. Conner, 90, of Falmouth passed away Saturday,
October 10, at his home attended by his son, brothers, sister, niece and
nephew. He was preceded in death by his
beloved wife, Helen Ruth Bratcher Conner; grandson, David Conner; sister, Mary Elizabeth Wall; brothers, Joseph, Kale, and Ernest Conner. He leaves his two sons, Dennis and Steven
Conner and four grandchildren. In
addition, he has his sister, Macie Eades; brothers, Leo, Bill, and Garley “Slick”
Conner; and numerous nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. Mr. Conner served in the European theater in
World War II as a member of the 744th Railroad Battalion. He worked for most of his life as an
accomplished landscape designer and foreman.
He enjoyed Bluegrass music and reading.
Mr. Conner held life memberships in both the American Legion Post 109
and the VFW 1978. Two weeks ago, he was
part of the Honor Flight to Washington D.C., accompanied by his niece, Patti
Reynolds and brother, Slick Conner, as well as his dear son, Dennis. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October
14, 2015 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with the Funeral Service immediately following
at 1:00pm at the Alexandria Funeral Home, 325 Washington St., Alexandria, KY
41001. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, KY. Memorials are suggested to the VFW Post 1978.

DeleteMr. Conner was one of the first people I met when we moved to Union, Ky. in 1956. Dennis and Stevie were two of our first friends in the area and I always liked the entire family. Rest in peace Mr. Conner.
