Rosella Marie Rief (nee Franzen), age 82, of Alexandria, KY passed away on Monday, September, 5, 2016 at her residence. Rosella was a member of St. Mary Parish, Alexandria, KY. She was formerly active with St. Joseph Women’s Society and previously served as the organist for St. Joseph Church, Camp Springs. Rosella loved to sew for her children and grandchildren and she made many beautiful bridesmaid dresses for everyone. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Howard Rief Jr.; two sons, Tom (Debbie nee Kremer) Rief and Jerry (Judy nee Steffen) Rief; daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Weckbach; three brothers, Norbert, Leo (Jan), and Nicholas (Jean) Franzen; two sisters, Mary Ann (Richard) Verst and Irene (Conley) Ashcraft; also survived by ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rita Sacksteder and her brother, Anthony Franzen. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Mary Parish, Alexandria, KY with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Alexandria, KY. Memorials are suggested to: St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S.
