Donald W. Flora, 91, of Cold Spring, KY passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Don was a WWII Navy Veteran of the Pacific Campaign. He retired from Coca Cola after 39 years of service. He loved family, traveling, nature, and building things with his own hands. He will be remembered for his humor and love of life. Born September 27, 1925 in California, KY to William and Ada (nee Nelson) Flora, he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Erwin and Carroll Flora. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Florine (nee Holtz) Flora; 3 children, Beverly (Michael) Kleier of Cold Spring, KY, Wayne (Etta) Flora of Liberty Township, OH and John Flora of Longwood, FL; 1 brother, Dwight “Pete” Flora; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Mentor, KY. Memorials are suggested to Charity of donor’s choice.
