ReplyDeletePlease accept my deepest condolences. I was honored to know and work with Steve. Steve will be greatly missed!
ReplyDeleteMay God be your strength and refuge during this time of great loss.
I've worked on many projects with Steve since 1995. It was always comforting to know that Steve was running the job. I used to remind him that the hippie look went out with the 70s, but in spite of his pony tail, he was a consummate professional, that always delivered on his promises. His fair and good natured demeanor kept the atmosphere light and his customers happy. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
ReplyDeleteDiana, friends and family, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Steve had such a great impact on so many lives, including mine. I'm thankful to have known Steve not only as a boss, but also as a good friend and mentor. Many of us owe a lot of our successes to Steve, I know I do. I will miss him greatly. Thank you Steve, and God bless your family.
ReplyDeleteDiana and family, Steve was a wonderful young man his friendly, caring and outgoing personality meant so much to us and I know his memory and contributions will long be remembered by family friends and all who knew him. Our prayer is God will continue to give you the strength and comfort you need.
ReplyDeleteWe are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. May you find comfort and peace knowing he is with our heavenly Father. I was so excited to see his baptisim and it was so cool when he had to get on his knees for Pastor Bob. We were hoping to get to ride with you both this spring/summer and I really wanted him to try out my Spyder. You and I will have to take that ride!
ReplyDeleteNext year when I walk in the mini-heart marathon, I'll be walking in Steve's memory in addition to my mom.

Just heard of Steven's passing on April 3rd., Our Family is sending You Diana, Family, & Friends "Our Sincere, Heartfelt Condolences". It seems like just the other night we walked passed Steven & Diana in the parking lot at County Market. Steven with his one of a kind grin, said Hello Buck. Although it was just in passing, the Warmth of this Man's Persona and Character really shined through. His karaoke singing, shooting pool, or just standing around talking to people, it was a relaxed time. I'm sure going to Miss Him. I Hope and Pray, that Steven had realized the Rewarding Impact, that he has had on Everyone. But if he didn't in this Life; I'm sure it will be brought to his attention, when he arrives at Our Lord's House.
ReplyDeleteMay God Bless and Comfort You, Diana; Your Family, Relatives and Friends.
Sincerely,
Buck & Caroline Vanover
The word "BIG" was often used to discribe Steve for his height, but for me it meant something totally different. He was "BIG" in so many other ways. As a friend, a mentor, his work ethic, his zest for living life and having fun. He had balance most people wish for. He loved his family and friends, and they loved him. He has forever changed my life and so many others. I feel extremely lucky to have had such a "BIG" friend. I will miss you, but never forget you! Cedrick

ReplyDeleteI've been struggling/wrestling with GOD over this situation. And GOD has asked me--SO WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
ReplyDeleteThere is only one factor about this whole situation I do not like. The fact that Steve was taken/died at the age of 51. TOO YOUNG! And selfishly I am devastated that I am left to go on by myself. Since we were attached at the hip/inseparable, I cannot fathom how I am going to move forward without him. He was/is the love of my life. The fact that he went out at the top of his game makes me feel EXTREMELY CHEATED that I did not get to have many more years to enjoy the "new and improved" Steve. He had finally become the man I always knew he could be. I saw the Holy Spirit work in my husband to help him become a Godly man. It was an amazing thing to witness firsthand.
But honestly, if I really think about it, I have everything to be thankful for. The fact that Steve DID die at 51. He's gotten the heck out of here. He no longer has to be a part of this somewhat sad and corrupt world. The fact that he is NOT with me means he is with GOD and it does not get any better than that. The fact that he went out on top. Thank GOD he had JUST been baptized on February 7, 2010.
GOD even blessed Steve and I both in the way he was taken. AT HOME - TOGETHER - ALMOST INSTANTLY. Don't we all wish to go out in this same way when our time comes?
SO--WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?
Everything and nothing! I am both devastated and ecstatic (simultaneously). The worst situation for me and Steve and the best situation for me and Steve. But at the end of the day, GOD has revealed something to me. It's not really about me or Steve. It's all about GOD. I thank GOD and give him all the glory. May he bless all of us who loved Steve and comfort us in our pain ad sorrow.
Please take our message of "HUG YOUR SPOUSE" and remember to do it. Do it now and do it often, cause you never know..... Love one another, be kind to one another and put GOD smack dab in the middle of your marriage. We finally got it right, we want the same for you.
In summary, bottom line: this is a good thing, a wonderful thing, a cause for celebration. Steve is with GOD where we should all want to be. And I know one day I will be reunited with Steve, but more importantly, I will be with GOD. How's your situation looking?
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do -- do it all for the Glory of GOD.

Diana
