William Oscar Cropper
William Oscar Cropper, 87, born in Burtonville, KY and resided in Wilder, KY., died on March 25th at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Ft. Thomas, KY. William served in the Navy during WWII and retired as an insurance agent for Prudential Life. He was an OMI, UC graduate, active member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and an avid carpenter. William was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edgar & Alene (Reeder) Cropper; Son, David; Sisters, Margaret Himes and Jenny Myers, and a brother, Tom Cropper; Grandchildren, Alicia and Ryan Colvin. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Thompson) Cropper; Son, William Jeffrey (Nikki) Cropper; Daughters, Marcia (Roger) Colvin, Dana (BJ) Ariapad; Brothers, Mike, Jerry and Ron Cropper, and by his sisters, Nell Milner, Middy Kline, Kathy Sponsler, and Sharon Brian. 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Sunday, March 30th from 3:00pm - 7:00pm and on Monday, March 31st from 10:00am - 10:45am at the Asbury United Methodist Church with the funeral services following at 11:00am. Interment to follow at the Alexandria Cemetery. Memorials can be made to: Asbury United Methodist Church or St. Elizabeth Hospice.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I loved seeing him every day when I worked at Elmcroft. His quick wit and great sense of humor made him one of my favorite residents. My deepest sympathies go out to the Cropper family. May the love of those around you help you through the days ahead.
