William E. “Bill” Tarvin, age 64 of Clifton Park, NY (formerly of Melbourne, KY) passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at his home. Born on January 14, 1952, he was the son of Zelia E. Tarvin and the late Roy T. Tarvin. Bill retired from CSX after 37 years of service. Following retirement, he owned and operated Tarvin Consulting Services LLC out of his home. He also worked at Saratoga Engineering and RWT; where he taught training for railroad safety. Bill was an avid Jeep enthusiast and was a longtime member of the Mohawk Offroad Jeep Club. He also enjoyed woodworking and house boating along with his wife. He loved wildlife and had pet birds with his wife. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Tarvin: mother, Zelia Tarvin; sisters Rose Ann Tarvin Deckert and Mary (William) Kinsella; nieces and nephews, Katherine, Nicholas, and Michael (Linda). Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 9am to 11am with burial immediately following in Mount Gilead Cemetery, Carthage, KY.
