Jean Smith

Jean Smith (nee Sebastian), age 76, of Cold Spring, KY passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Jean was a former cafeteria worker for the DAV and a member of Summit Church of Christ, Cold Spring, KY.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Lynn Smith and siblings, Wilson Sebastian, Edith Arkenau, and Dorothy McIntosh. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nelson Smith; three sons, David (Debbie), Doug (Rachel), and Darrell (Michelle) Smith; six brothers, Daniel, Oscar, Truman, Freedis, Herman, and Robert Sebastian; two sisters, Juanita Sargent and Geneva Herald; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm.  Funeral Service will be held at the Alexandria Funeral Home on Thursday, July 20th at 11am. Interment will follow at the Alexandria Cemetery.

    Uncle Nelson, your loss of Aunt Jean is overwhelming, but you are not walking alone through this storm of profound grief. The Holy Spirit is in you and about you as He leads you through each moment of each day. Please know that you are covered in much prayer. God bless you and your boys with all the comfort that He provides.
